We had amazing lunch here.
Dished were served fast, especially pasta for the baby came right away (great hospitality by Dino and Olena ❤)

We had the menu of the day with choice of
- sea tartare,
- beef carpaccio,
- prosciutto and melon
as starters.

For main we had
- escalopes
- fish of the day
- mix grill

Everything presented bery nicely and tasted very good.

And the finish was mind-blowing. You need to taste cheesecake and chocolate mousse.

The food was amazing! The staff lack a certain charm tbh, not very talkative but that’s fine and the view from our seat of Altea and the locations surrounding it were stunning. If you require a redeeming meal where your bubble won’t be disturbed, definitely come here and ask to be seated indoors if you want the view in the pics attached!

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch, food and service were first class and the view of Altea was spectacular. Thoroughly recommended.

Food and serving are great. But, unfortunately, it feels like the staff is not friendly. Anyway, I recommend this place for its food and location in the heart of charming Altea old town.

Had an amazing meal. The rack of lamb and mixed grill was fantastic. Great attentive service with friendly staff. Would come back tomorrow if we were not moving towns.

Beautiful place to have lunch or dinner at the top of the hill in old town Altea. Located on the Plaza de la Iglesia. Scenic views towards the sea and to the charming church. Comfortable, covered outside patio. The breezes are amazing and welcome. Cozy and charming inside dining rooms with handsome artwork and decor. The food is fresh and fantastic. I’m not sure we’ve ever had fish that’s been prepared more perfectly: super fresh, super tasty and with amazingly delicate crisp skin. Salads are just as good. Service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended.

I had somewhat low expectations because the restaurant is right on the plaza in the busiest tourist area but my lunch was really good: duck ordered rare and cooked perfectly, served with potatoes au gratin, not the usual (and awful) French fries. Service efficient and friendly. A lovely day in Altea. No complaints here!

I ate here last night as part of a large (+20 people) group dinner and the food was amazing. It was a set meal so no idea what else is on offer, but we started with a spring roll, then fried fish with asparagus and lamb chops with green beans. The restaurant is in a beautiful square with church overlooking the sea - highly recommend

Had another delish meal here today: my usual fave, rodaballo (turbot), and my son's, rack of lamb. Perfectly cooked and served with scalloped potatoes. He loved his chocolate fondant.

The location, food, and service were all 5 stars. We enjoyed the view of the plaza and church as we ate and drink. I highly recommend the menu del día for lunch. It was 17€ for great quality food such as the gazpacho, pasta with bolognese, pork with mushrooms, fish of the day, and apple pie.

Great second meal of the week here and equally as good as the first. Food, service, setting couldn't be faulted. A nice surprise of a cheesecake/ice cream dessert with sparkly firework for my wife's birthday. A small gripe was speckles of dirt on the table cloth and side plates- I guess the table had been made up for a while. Definitely be back soon and recommending to our friends that visit our house.

Climb the hill to Restaurante D'els Artistes at Altea Old Town “Placa de l’Esglesia” (Cathedral Plaza) to see the ocean views en route, especially at Mirador Blanc. (One can drive but it's an easy climb). I reached the top, the Cathedral bells rang, and a bright sunny day became a downpour– so I took refuge under the awning of Restaurante D'els Artistes, right at the beautiful cathedral.

It was fabulous! The hostess made sure I was far enough under the awning to stay dry, but still outside with cathedral and plaza view. The lunch was excellent, mixed grill with a large portion of lamb, beef, and chicken, then a fresh mozzarella and tomato salad ("caprese" in Italy). I asked my hostess to recommend the right wine for these dishes and received a wonderful white vermouth. And the olives! She brought a small bowl as appetizer and I had to have a second bowl, the most light and flavorful olives I've ever tasted in my life. Please note: As with all "traditional" good restaurants in Alicante and Altea, they close promptly at 3:30 pm for siesta, to rest before the long dinner 6-11 pm. Try to arrive by 2 pm the latest, good cooking fresh to order takes time.

It was the first time we'd been but will definitely go again. The food was absolutely perfect. It is primarily a fish restaurant but they do meat dishes as well. We both had fish which was definitely fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff were extremely attentive without being over the top and very personable. There is an extensive wine list to suit all pockets. It is not cheap, expect to pay around €50pp but the quality and ambience are worth every cent and more. Incidentally it was very busy, next time I will make a reservation as we were fortunate to get a table even though there were only 2 of us.
