Great atmosphere combined with amazing food. We ordered the tortilla both with and without pnions, definitely loved the one with onions more. Also tried the oxtail, very tender beef, literally falling off the bone, served with rice and a stew that's also packed with flavor. Asparagus is crisp and grilled just right, not too tough not too soggy and salted well. The ham croquettes are also not one to miss. Restroom is clean as well and has railings for support for the elderly or disabled. Service is fast and friendly, atmosphere is very relaxed. When we went there was a mix of tourists and locals. Overall, would definitely come back for the tortilla!!

Famous place for Spanish omelette. The place has three areas, one in the middle of the market where they make the omelettes, a small terrace at the entrance of the market and a local around the corner. We went to the local as the queue was smaller. Very nice service, you can see their staff work really hard.

Came here because of an episode on Somebody Feed Phil. I've tried many tortilla de patatas during my trip to Spain and this indeed was my favourite one.

The texture was on the soft side but it still gives you a solid bite. Something so simple but made so well. The addition of the onions enhances the flavour a bit. They make it in a way where the egg and potato both shine equality. The price and portions are good. I could eat this everyday, I miss it.

FYI, seems like there are two locations in the same market.

It is a true Spanish environment, with really gooooood food, with warm people. We love the tortilla de patata, croquetas, chuletas, gambas de ajillo… Everything tastes so good. We try to take every tourist friend here to enjoy these tastes. Definitely recommend it.

We visited it after watching the introduction from the Netflix “Feed Phil”.

It mentioned it was the most delicious Tortilla in Spain. I can only say the tortilla here is totally worth of the name after living in Spain for a while.

Their cheese cake is also awesome! Don’t miss it.

I mean the food was good, but would I wait in a long queue for it? I don’t think so.

However, the service was good, the tortilla was good as well. The service was amazing and quick.

I think its one of the places that you have to try in Madrid. Would go again if there is no queue or very small one.

Located within the center market of La Paz, with availability of fresh ingredients and a continuous flow of people, Casa Dani is an ideal location to taste traditional Spanish cuisine for an affordable price. One of the best tortilla of Madrid, definitely one of the most known. Service is very fast and so kind. Will come back when I shop at the market. There is a small queue outside, but they are very fast.

We are finally at the most famous tortilla de patata restaurant in the world. Literally. Anyone who watched Somebody Feed Phil will immediately recall @phil.rosenthal in this restaurant @casadanimadrid in Mercado de la Paz.
It is a very popular spot, so you may have to wait some time in the line; but it surely is worth it. There exists a big debate on whether the tortilla should be made with onion or without onion; you can try both. I don’t think it should be either or. Have half portion with onion, half without.

Though we wanted to try other tapas, our waiter strongly recommended the prawns in olive oil and garlic. In my opinion when cooked in good olive oil, it is much much better and lighter with olive oil than it is with butter. In Turkiye, the general tendency is to cook it with butter, and unfortunately most of the time, with poor quality butter.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience. If you visit Madrid, this place should be on your list.

One of the best tortillas you will find in Spain and a very different style than anywhere else. Service is fast and efficient, but also care about giving best food. Their lamb leg was outstanding and cooked to perfection. Wasn’t expecting it to be that good, I was blown away. Big plus to the great staff and outstanding food.

Ordered in Uber eats on a recent visit. Really nice tortilla (a bit on the salty side) and one of the best cheesecakes me and my girlfriend ever tried! Amazing. Really wanted to know the difference that made it taste different and not that "cheese" usual taste to make it on my own! Definitely to repeat if I go to Madrid again

There’s a lunch menu for 13 euros but we ordered the traditional dishes. The tortilla was delicious. I also had the Pulpo a la galega, also very tasty. Good price for great food!

Incredible value for money. We came here for lunch, choosing their daily menu for €13 each. Lots of fresh ingredients and food packed into that price, including dessert, drinks and a coffee. Not sure how they do it, but coming from the UK it’s definitely a pleasant surprise - would dine here again if time permitted.

Very long wait so come at odd hours if you can. Around the corner there is a food market and they also have a shop there if you want to eat in the cafe area which is much more casual and faster.

Go eat here! The menu of the day is absolutely delicious, I cannot recommend it more - big portions, flavorful and fresh.

Dani and his whole team are very delightful and helpful. Our waiter explained all the dishes and made some great recommendations.

Also, all the dishes are made with locally sourced ingredients, which makes it a very sustainable lunch, aside from unbelievably tasty!
