Not ideal for real beginners, but for reasonable skiers it's fantastic, off piste is endless. Best views. Love this place. Great ski schools. 😁

I liked the ski station, couldn't try all the tracks because of the limited time but once you are up on a mountain sometimes there is no easy way for a newbie to come down and at the same time having very good tracks for newbies exactly on top of the mountain.

Make sure you do a good research before coming here if you are only a beginner.

We been lucky to catch really good snow in the beginning of January which is not always the case

The lakes walk was absolutely stunning. It's worth taking g the "telesillas" up the mountain and walk the circular path to see the lakes on the top of the mountain. Fantastic! Highly recommended.

Good stuff. It all depends on the snow you have , but the place is worthy

Take the chair lift, do the lake walk, crossing the French border. Spectacular scenery from lac casterau. Horses with bells on, great birdwatching, superb photography opportunities. August.

Great place for beginners to learn skiing. Local schools are doing a great job, especially for kids. Coached a few inexperienced / total beginner friends living in Spain. Usually do places in the Alps.
Price model is fair, as you can consume unused tickets on another day. If I understood correctly, even carry them over to the next season. The weather is more volatile in Pyrenees than Alps. Clouds are usually less dense, means visibility inside clouds usually much better. In case you are used to poor visibility, just go if you feel the itch.
Piste marking poles could use some larger circular boards. Markings are usually well maintained, safe and good. The lift names are also fairly small on boards. So I didn't even really care to memorize much.
I did not really understand why the higher altitudes can't be operated from a mid-level station or parallel lift. The north and west facing slopes could be used much longer in the season if a lift based decent to the valley is possible.
A modern cabin system to Raca would be useful as well as some interlink between the higher areas.
When the snow is gone on the valley floor certain tracks quickly become bottlenecks with bad snow conditions, especially the heavy used ones. This could be avoided with a few upgrades or modernization, like almost every Alpine resort did in the last 2 decades.
The restaurants are small and slow compared to resorts in Austria, Italy or Switzerland. There is less room to warm up in bad weather. Terrace space is bigger. This is also tied to modernization.

I have been there several times at the summertime and I love it. The cable car takes you up to the mountains and there you have some options to have a stunning hike.
Available shorter and easier tracks and as well longer and heavier tracks.
Nice place.

Good ski resort and good hiking trails around lakes. The view at 2200 meters above the sea level is superb awesome. The landscape is surrounded by green hills and habitated by cattle of sheep from time to time. The ski cable takes you up in ten minutes.
There is a cafe' outdoors where you can have a snack and drink at a reasonable price. The se offered by the staff is polite and attentive to the customer too.
I fully recommend you to drop by and have a relaxing time during the whole day.
