Lured by the high rating and reviews, we made a short trek out of the touristy area and glad we did.

Welcomed by one of the owners, he was very patient with us while we nervously try to look up what to get here and helpful recommended to start with their very popular vermut on tap. Glad we did. It was our first time having vermut and we now prefer it over sangria.

Also ordered their tortilla de patatas, marinera and maritrini (first time having these and now I'm obsessed) and barea peppers (funnily, meant to order the fried green peppers but we actually fell in love with this one).

You can taste the care in the food (you can Google for their backstory) and atmosphere was friendly and laid back. Even a regular was helping us pick up the food while we soak in the great vibes at a beautiful, sunny spot by the large open window.

This place is clearly a local favorite and probably a best kept secret in Madrid.

We will definitely return again.

What a wonderful tapas bar! Very welcoming and dog friendly. The staff were kind and patient switching between English and Spanish to explain the menu. Everything was high quality, delicious, and affordable- a must try is the Marinera. There’s a sense of community, friendliness and pride in this lovely bar, we can’t wait to visit again.

It is a little gem of a bar. It's tiny but full of joy shared by all. There are no strangers here, just friends that you haven't met yet. If you are looking for a place with a soul, that's it! Tapas is amazing because owners care about the origin and quality of the food that they serve. And vermú.. well.. where will I start?! It's home made, delicious and served with a piece of orange and an olive so it not only tastes amazing but it also looks cute!

Wow, we were made to feel so welcome. Food was so tasty, and definitely going back for more before heading home.

I had the most pleasant evening here. My partner and I had never tried vermouth before, and the host patiently explained the different kinds and made recommendations based on our tastes. We felt like honored guests here. All the food and drinks were delicious. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Lovely food, friendly service at this tiny bar in the middle of Madrid. The marinera is highly recommended, as well as their pimientos. Hopefully will be back one day!

Absolute mayhem but a really fun experience. You’re packed in shoulder to shoulder, but the service is great even when shouted over the 5 other people waiting for the bar. Food was delicious.

So to start with, it’s our first Spain trip and Madrid was our first stop. We’re pretty adventurous eaters and were excited about tapas. We stopped here first.

Really unfortunate for most other places that we did- it’s just stellar (look at my other reviews- I am always candid). First, crowded little places like these are easy to shy away from. Don’t. Just get the bartender’s attention and you will be served quickly. Tapas here can be pretty varied- just try ‘em, only a few Euros and none we didn’t love. ‘Tender smiled and welcomed us back second visit. Definitely going back tomorrow. DO NOT MISS!

Update: Our last night so we went back after a long, great day in a marvelous city. Big smiles again like I had been coming there for years. We ordered a small, cheap tapa that the bartender turned into 4 plates including fabulous cheeses and excellent sourdough.

I have never updated a post for any reason- this wonderful place deserved it! As I think I said before, DO NOT MISS!!!

Downstairs my airbnb, a total surprise! Highly recommended, a chill place, and a wonderful bar tender who is willing to explain everything about this little place and Madrid to you!

Good vibes good food small and cozy place loved every part of it!

We just had a coffee sitting outside, so no comments abt the food, but the cakes and pastries look very good and the service is friendly.
