So oily but so SO good. There was only one server running the show with the team in the kitchen and bar but he was amazing and gave everyone legendary service.
What a place - we left very happy and feeling a little sorry for ourselves (in the best way possible).

It has the charm of a small local bar/café with few tables and informal rustic style. The food was so delicious ,it's hard to pick favourites. The pork ears are their signature dish and rightfully so. If you want to have lunch during the weekend, time your arrival or expect to wait in what seems like a endless queue.

Exceptional experience. We were just passing through and the vintage, almost surreal, atmosphere of the place pulled us in.
The menu, through its simple form and options, fully covered us, especially the scrambled eggs and the fried peppers.
The service was almost joyful and we loved it.
Just to be clear, if you re looking for a high end cuisine with high standards and gourmet menus this is not for you.
If you re in for the adventurous experiences and enjoy diggin in the traditional culture of a town then don’t lose that chance.

This place was on our bucket list for this visit to Madrid, specifically for their specialty, fried pigs ears. Just effing amazing! If bacon, a pork rind and a pork roast had an incestuous baby, this is what it would taste like. Simultaneously chewy, crispy and unctuous, seasoned with smoked paprika. You'd beat up a girl scout for a plate of these.

What a treasure. I dropped by at noon and kitchen was already open! I had some wine and chipirones, which are small squids. The place also has a great, su th Enric ambiance.

Fabulous food! Fried potatoes with special sauce, Yumm. Genius combination that eggs and chips go together😍 the restaurant is a tiny one so perfect for travelling alone, friends or couples☺ the hygiene situation may need improving but it’s good already overall. If you ever been here, say ‘hola’ and have a try😋

Very large portion, nice price, superb taste, and the most friendly staff. Our favorite meal of this trip, will definitely come back again!

Traditional spanish tapas experience. The street is filled with more ‘touristy’ restaurants, but this one seems to bring in more locals. Noisy, crowded atmosphere, just like how I imagine a traditional taps experience would be like, as a foreigner. Food is great too and quite filling. Padron peppers are amazing. Had sweetbreads for the first time, was pleasantly surprised. They are also famous for the orejas (pig ears) which taste great and have unique texture. Splendid experience for a moderate price.

Superb. This is just great Spanish food. Every dish is simple and effective, presented without fuss, and delicious. Never too much food for each dish, unlike many of the more tourist-focused restaurants.
The staff were friendly and very encouraging & helpful with our basic grasp of Spanish.
I would eat here most days if I had the choice.
If only I'd tried the ears...

Honestly not a big fan of the pig ears as it’s quite fatty and jelak but saw many customers finishing theirs during our visits. Definitely worth a try since it’s one of Spanish delicacies. It might be something that you like!!

Note that I haven’t had a lot so I’m not the best person to judge the taste of the pig ears! Will try more if possible! Maybe can try it at casa Dani!

Had the huevos rotos and they were fantastic. I would have loved to try all the other stuff on the menu but the portion was generous enough to fill me up. Staff were friendly and on the ball, and there is a really nice vibe to the place.

I had a wonderful evening at Jaime's. I highly recommend trying the fried pig ear with traditional sauce; it tasted absolutely delicious. The green pepper and mussel dishes were the best I've ever had—so fresh and juicy. Don't miss out on the lemon beer; it's a must-try. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxing, making it an all-around delightful experience.

We came here with a mission: to try Oreja especial de la Casa. We ordered that with patatas bravas. The waiter was really helpful, and the place has a unique atmosphere. The food was simple altough very special, strongly recommended to try.

Never tried “orejas” and wow!! Amazing, with a lot of flavor and “pimentón” a very small and crowded place. Pimientos del padrón delicious. The attention of the Dominican Host is super!!

Don't let this bar's appearance deter you. Its serves excellent tapas at a very reasonable price. The octopus and potatoes and the grilled squid were delicious but our favorite is the house special pigs ears (orejas)! Very close to Puerta del Sol and should be a stop in your tapas bar crawl! BTW, they only accept cash.
