La Terraza by Helen

We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant in beautiful Altea, accompanied by friends. Everything was top-notch: the service, the ambiance, and the food. We came to try the steaks and opted for the Galician and La Paris cuts, along with beef tataki and ham with melon. We asked for a recommendation for red wine, and the choice was excellent—though I can't recall the name, the bottle with Salvador Dali's label had a rich, full-bodied flavor. And, as is customary in such wonderful establishments, we were treated to limoncello at the end of the evening.
A big thank you to the staff and waiters! Everything was prompt, delicious, and we felt surrounded by your attention throughout our visit. Truly appreciated!

Lovely refurbished bar/restaurant front line near Banco Sabadell. Excellent waiting staff, delicious food and quality house red wine!

After nearly a week in Altea I was getting a bit bored of tapas (not enough vegetables) so gave this place a try. I had the duo of fish which was cooked perfectly and came with a selection of nice vegetables, it was just what I needed! Only thing you should be aware of is that the bread and olives which arrive at the table are not free. Had a very nice bottle of Cabernet Monastrell which was reasonably priced.

Not the average Altea boulevard restaurant, with upper class food without the price tag.

I have been to La Terraza by Helen several times over the past 6 weeks and have found it to be consistently excellent. The food is artistically presented and delicious, the staff are very friendly, attentive and professional. I highly recommend the fish soup which is as good as any I've ever tasted in the south of France. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality of food.

My husband and I found this place by serendipity while driving around Altea We felt drawn by its energy and atmosphere. An international gourmet menu with beautifully presented food. Reasonably priced if a bit expensive but worth every penny. We will return for sure!

Nice refurb,great location.
Be aware lunches don't start til 1pm and it's only snacks until then. Having said that we were not disappointed.
Would definitely recommend.

Plenty of positive to say but it's worth saying that the cheesecake (homemade) is simply outstanding. When you get that with personal service and a worthwhile conversation thrown in for free then you know you are in the right place.
