Palace of Gaudí Astorga

Absolutely stunning place. It is everything and more that would be expected of Gaudi. It is in the centre of Astorga and on the Camino de Santiago, the route Francés. It is inexpensive and even has a reduction for pilgrims. Very beautiful building. I feel it a privilege to have been inside. Souvenir shop, audio, WCs and lots of hand sanitiser.

A beautiful museum! There were some renovations happening while we were visiting but the distraction was minimal. I bought tickets online in advance (not sure if you could purchase onsite) for 10:30am on a Saturday and enjoyed the gardens and views practically to myself. I learned so much about Astorga here as well as the creation of the commissioned palace by the architect, Gaudi. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. A must see!

A definite must visit for anyone interested in architecture, or just curious about how elaborate decoration can be. Gaudi's recently restored palace is an astonishing example of invention and form. Almost defies belief that this was even contemplated.

One of the most fascinating Gaudí building in Spain. It has an exhibition with Camino reliquivies such as the original Cruz de Ferro. Highly recommended to visit. The merchandising shop is also very good.

I heard it described as Dracula's Castle by a passer-by, this Gaudi building is a must visit for fans. You can clearly see the through line that went from this design to La Padrera in its treatment of stone, structure and form.

Located in the Astorga city center, the Episcopal Palace is one of the reference of the Saint James Way and a tribute to all of ways to go to Santiago de Compostela and pilgrims.
The Palace is a neo-Gothic building, built by Antonio Gaudí with granite stone from Bierzo, with features of castle, temple and stately palace, surrounded by a moat.

Excellent place to visit if you like Guadi . explanations inside interesting and all clean and very individualistic design. Well worth the money if you like the history of the building and Christian history of Leon and medieval Spain.

One of the greatest pieces of Gaudi's works. But I personally wouldn't live there as stained glass made with lead.
Anyway, it's beautiful to watch

I've always been a bit skeptical about Gaudí places as they are overpriced in my opinion, so I went to this one expecting to pay 15€ or so. However, this one costs "only" 6€, which seem a bit more fair. Anyway, the building is a episcopal palace, kind of a cathedral-like building with the unconventional Gaudí style, with funny shapes and colours. There is an audio guide with a code, and plenty of informative pannel throughout the building both in Spanish and English. 3 floors in total for a 30-45 min visit. Recommended if you are around.

Really enjoyed the Bishop's Palace. Interesting exterior. Beautiful interior. Well worth the visit. If you had to choose between here and Casa Botines, definitely Astorga is the place to go.

Looks like a Disneyland castle or a fake castle with a roller coaster inside. So clean and unreal looking. Very beautiful!

Very beautiful Palace designed by Gaudi. 6€ entry. If you are passing by Astorga it's a must.

Loved everything about the place. The design is obviously stunning in every way. The tablet based audio guide is interesting and gives some good ideas for photos you can take during your visit that you might not have noticed. It was surprisingly quiet on the Sunday morning we visited and we had the rooms mostly to ourselves.
