Fabulous food!
If I was staying longer I would go back to try some of their other dishes.
Plates are well put together and balanced. The squid and rice was very flavorful and buttery. The veal was top notch. It's topped with a feta based cream and a side of apple pure and crispy fries. The harmony of flavours was beyond. Low-key, traditional....simple but great. Lovely owner and wait staff.

What an experience. Wines amazing, selection likewise. Menu del día un poco diferente! Very high and special food quality. Next time we visit our wonderful capital, we will definitely revisit!

An excellent menu del dia place with a value meal for under 20€

Even at the risk of attracting too many tourist here (I am sure the restaurant owner is catering more to locals), this place is an absolute gem.
Best lunch spot in town! Fantastic food from starters to dessert, everything just perfect. This will be forever my go-to lunch place for Madrid.

Be aware that the menu offering changes every couple of days and you can only order whats written on the board. Everything is in Spanish. But with a bit of effort and trying to speak a bit of Spanish, it’s all worth it!!

Exquisite chipirones en su tinta (squids) and all the main dishes were each great, perfect that wine, definitely a must visit!

I read about this place on Instagram (thank you @jamesblickspain) and decided to try it for lunch on our recent trip to Madrid since it was within walking distance of our hotel. We were a party of two on a Friday afternoon. We arrived about 1:45 and the place was not quite full so we did not have to wait for a table. Everything about the experience was a pleasure. The restaurant was clean and lovely. We ordered from the daily specials menu, which includes bread, a beverage and dessert. Every dish was absolutely delicious and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it and would definitely return.

It's a great place if you are in for an authentic experience. The service is friendly -- even though I do not speak a word of Spanish :( The owner had the patience to go through the menu options. The set menu worked perfectly even for our group that had children. It's definitely the culinary highlight of our stay in Madrid.

The lunch menu was 14e a person including an app, main, dessert and drinks. I was pretty full by the end and the service was fantastic.

We had a fantastic 3 course lunch from the menu del dia at a great price of about 19 euros. Very fresh salad, delicious seafood soup, and veal steak cooked perfectly and nicely sauced. We enjoyed the tiramisu and lemon custard to finish.

The best Spanish traditional restaurant in Madrid! A must

A small place for pristine Spanish menu del dias experience. Seems like a restaurant with long tradition, each day scribing a new menu on the old blackboard. Would definitely recommend a visit... a reservation in advance could be good, since it seems always at full capacity.

Simple, delicious food, well prepared. Lots of locals and no English menu, two good signs.

We had a very good menu del dia lunch here and were glad we had our hotel reserve for us. It's a small place and people were waiting to get in on a rainy day.

One of the best restaurants I have ever been. Totally worth the money. Excellent quality and quantity. We preferred the menu with a certain amount of money (12 or 14€ each.cant remember). Owner was so kind to translate all the menu for us because it was in Spanish.

Great lunch spot close to Plaza Mayor, but far enough not to be a tourist trap. Good value for money

The food is delicious, fresh and well worth the price and the short wait. The menu is varied enough for choices but small enough to guarantee it's well planned. I'll have to go back again in a five day stay!
