Came here in a small group of 3 on a Monday night at 9pm which is close to their opening time so it was nice and quiet and the staff were readily available and attentive. They can speak English as well as other languages so as a tourist there was no trouble communicating. The restaurant was quiet and mostly empty at this time. There wasn’t any background noise so just a quiet ambience of the few other patrons talking as well as a large group that arrived shortly after us.

We had the gnocchi in pesto which was really pillowy and tasty. Only thing was there wasn’t that much of it served.
The lasagna was rich and creamy with plenty of cheese.
The pizza was also very good and all the toppings were distinct.
Finally we also shared a jug of their homemade sangria which was light and refreshing.

All the dishes came out very quick. No complaints about the food, only praise. I’d guess that anything you pick from the menu would be as good as the three we had. The prices were fair for the quality. We, as big eaters, expected not to be full from the servings but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Would recommend to go again. Fantastic Italian restaurant.

Great choice for a gluten intolerance person!! There is a gluten free menu and every dish comes with a flag making sure they don't make mistakes. Food is soo good, service is amazing and the place is lovely! I really recommend it! 💯

Good food and excellent service with good gluten free option too! Everything that comes with a little umbrella has no gluten. They have also unexpetedly served a complimentary gluten free crispy bread with rocket, parmesan, onion and tomato just because it was it was the celiac week. We had sangria, grilled pulp with potatos and pizza. Our waiter, a tall gentlmen with grey hair was really kind to us and also with the couple sat on the next table. Thumbs up!

Pre-COVID review:
Bottom line: if you're a celiac, or love delicious food, come. Also, wine selection is amazing and super cheap.
Gluten line: freaking heaven. Everything is labeled. Dishes come out with signs so you feel confident kitchen is careful.
Long line: what a blessing when traveling to Spain. We both speak Spanish so we have no issues explaining celiac restrictions, but places like this make the whole experience stress free and effortless. Not only that, the service was amazing. We honestly went back just to hang out with our server (and we normally never go to a place twice on vacation). The wine selection is big enough, and all the wines we tried were crazy good for the price. Personally I am not celiac, my wife is, but I regularly eat gluten free to reduce cross contamination. Eating both I can tell you they do a great job in the kitchen. I would absolutely recommend.

Incredible experience at Da Nicola! We went right when they opened at 830pm, it was empty, It was so surprising as this place was very delicious! The portions were HUGE but quality and taste were not compromised. I am celiac and ordered from their gluten free menu, my husband is not celiac and ordered from the regular menu- they made sure to keep both separate and my pasta even came out with a little toothpick sign stating, 'gluten free'. Highly recommend Da Nicola to anyone and everyone visiting Madrid!

If you’re looking for a gluten-free restaurant in Madrid, look no further. All our food was stunning, the service excellent, the servers extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating, and the GF menu is almost identical to the regular one. All allergens are clearly labelled. Taste and quality not compromised. The pasta and desserts are wonderful. Am bringing more GF guests here soon!

This is the perfect place for a celiac! They have a menu exclusively gluten free and they mark the gluten free plates so that everyone knows needs to be careful with cross contamination. The food is great and there's a lot of choices, for all tastes. They have good deserts as well and gluten free beer. It's not very expensive given the quality. Place is big but better to book in advance.

Great prices, great service, amazing food. Huge place. The manager today for lunch service was really efficient and reallly wanted to make things better when we had an issue with the timing of my daughters gluten free pizza. Loved how nice they all were. We go once a month and will continue to come back! Gets really full on weekends and holidays
Book ahead!

Has a wide variety of foods to choose from for celiacs and is very careful with it’s cross contamination by implementing its own marker system to ensure food is clearly gluten free when it arrives at the table . As for non-celiacs the food was also amazing with great portion sizes .Great overall service , do recommend!

There’s only one issue I have with this restaurant: it isn’t open 24 hours a day.

Excellent atmosphere. Excellent service. The food? I had a 5-star 4-season Pizza and also pasta stuffed with cheese in a pesto sauce that made me wish I had more capacity. For the GF folks out there, Da Nicola is a gem!

Food : 5 stars
Service : 5 stars
Sangria: tastes like sangria and not juice with a little wine

Although the food service was very quick, It took them 15 min to bring the bill on a weekday.

Definitely going again
