Kempinski Hotel Bahía

We did not stay here, just visited for drinks and tapas. Service was wonderful and the drinks were nice. Food was just ok.. The lobby was incredible, set in an incredible art deco style with a large table to the left of reception, that was incredibly decorated. High glass ceiling, massive bookshelf and several independent artist showcasing their works. The lobby is a place to see, then a short few steps to an outdoor dining area overlooking the pool. All in all a wonderful experience.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Kempinski Bahia Hotel in Estepona, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The breathtaking views from the hotel are absolutely stunning, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable stay. Spent our Christmas Day here having booked the Buffet Christmas Lunch and so glad we did. It was excellent, tremendous choice of food. We were so well looked after, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back. Thankyou for making our Christmas Day so good.

We held a company trip here for 75 people and the hotel were amazing from start to finish. They were really organised and catered to our specific requests. The food was great, meeting spaces were to our needs and the beach/poll area was lovely! Big thanks to all of the team that looked after us during our visit :)

Great hotel, where everything is about hospitality. Rooms are clean, cleaning service is checking your room several times a day. Breakfasts are also great. All the staff are really doing their best and ready to help anytime.
Parking is free, hotel is pet friendly.

This hotel not only met my expectations, but exeeded them in everything, starting with the cleaning service in the room, three times a day, the beautiful and very well maintained garden and pools, the amazing breakfast and ending with the staff's professionalism.
The ice-cream kiosk was the kids' main attraction during the day.

Beautiful scenery and great views from my room. The breakfast is amazing and offers so much variety. I had a superb massage in the really nice spa.

We have been coming to the Kempinski for over 20 years which tells you something in itself. I’ve been reading sone of the negative reviews - one in particular - and felt compelled to provide a different perspective whilst not trying to belittle the experience of that reviewer as perhaps it was an off week for the hotel.
Our experience has always been wonderful. The views are spectacular. The lobby is amazing and the service is 5 star. . On the rare occasion we’ve had an issue it’s been dealt with straight away. The breakfasts are second to none - with a wide change from a. fully cooked meal with eggs/omelettes freshly made to cereals and all types of breads and pastries. The service has always been excellent at breakfast - nothing too much trouble though I will say it did feel they were a little understaffed this June.
The top pool looks beautiful as it’s been updated and I can’t say I noticed any disrepair to the main one - but I can’t really comment fairly as I didn’t swim.
Yes it’s true the hotel is being sold but I understand that the third party who manage the hotel (seperate to the owners) will still be under contract so no reason to expect standards to fall. We didn’t experience any change other than to notice perhaps less staff than normal. The only real negative I feel I should mention is the lack of restaurants or places to eat. We had a couple of meals in The Spiller which we enjoyed - but the hotel could do with providing more choice and perhaps new owners will make those changes.
Will definitely return and would highly recommend

Fantastic place to be.
Really quite unusual as well.
It was pure paradise sitting down to breakfast this morning surrounded by palm trees and a wonderful close view of the sea.
The food is to die for and laid out so well and completely fresh.
Only here for a few days break but will get back soonest.

Arrived at Gibraltar Airport....very small and no hassle.

Great Facilities, Nice view, good choice for families, Clean rooms, great food, we had really enjoyed our stay although we had a little problem in the A/c but their professional staff responded to our complaint immediately and tried their best to make it up and resolve the issue, they have very professional and friendly staff from cleaning team up to front office manager.

I advise everyone to book directly through the hotel official website and I highly recommend it, will definitely book it again for future visit.

I recently stayed at the hotel with my family and I have to say that it was an excellent experience. The hotel staff, particularly Nieves, were extremely accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Our needs were met and Nieves went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. Located 45 to 60 minutes’ walk from the historic center of Estepona. Walk and bike track along the shoreline. You need to have a car or take a taxi if you want to explore the coast. Hotel is close to the very busy road N-340, but all rooms face the sea, only a very low noise from the road. Room at 8th floor was very comfortable with heating and a large bathroom. Bathroom in 80’ style. Well maintained and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a very service minded staff. One hotel restaurant was open during our visit in March, they serve premium food but at a very high prize. Highly recommended hotel due to high service level, but expensive room rates.

This is a very beautiful place with a fantastic views of the ocean and amazing gardens. We got married here in October and we couldn't be happier with how everything went! It was my dream venue and I am still in love with it. The first at all, Andrea our party/wedding organisator, was the best to work with! She was very friendly, professional, helpful and we didn't need to worry about anything. The staff was very attentive, we constantly had a full glasses. Food was absolutely delicious and fitted to everyone's needs. All expectation were met and then some. Several people told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! It is the place where we love returning and enjoying beautiful view and food.

What a great stay we had with my wife and 7 years old son at the end of August!
Arriving late to the resort, we still got served at the Spieler Beach House, however the kitchen was already closed.... They made an exception for us and our holiday started with a perfect dining experience :-) Thank You again!

The outdoor pool offers a relaxing atmosphere, excellent drinks with friendly and efficient service! No need to say, rooms and the entire hotel is well maintained!

We will definitely return and I can only recommend this hotel!

Recently had a 5 night stay at the Bahia, it has a great location between Banus and Estepona , we were genuinely welcomed by the staff immediately upon arrival, our bags unloaded, offered a cool glass of cava and guided through all the hotels facilities a really nice way to start your stay. After a drink in the Black Rose bar, we were shown to our rooms, which were spacious with a lovely terrace overlooking the Mediterranean, a school of dolphins swam by to adding to the ambience of the place. We had lunch at Spilar which is a beach restaurant where you can choose from catch of the day to burgers all done on the grill, great food great ambience. Breakfast is first class, you can eat on the terrace or inside, fresh fruit , egg station, smoothies a choice of coffees, everything you could want. The best part of the hotel though is the staff, everyone from the concierge to the waiting staff are warm, friendly and attentive, there was always a dry towel in the immaculately presented rooms, there was always attention to your table at lunch and breakfast, the bar staff wanted to serve you, the bellboys always happy to call cabs, park your car and help you with golf bags. Overall a lovely relaxed hotel which smacks quality, I will be going back .

Visited for a long weekend. Our greeting on arrival from all the staff was very friendly and efficient and this continued throughout our stay. The hotel facilities were lovely despite one of the pools being under renovation.
We sampled the delights of La Cocina de mi Abuela - an informal cosy restaurant that served delicious tapas, and enjoyed a sunset drink at the pool bar overlooking the beach.
Breakfast was buffet style with seating inside and out overlooking the sea - and as the weather was kind we were able to enjoy it in the sunshine.
We were lucky enought to be upgraded to a Grand Mediterranean Room with a spectaular Ocean view and sunshine on the terrace all day. The room and bathroom was large and spacious and the bed very comfortable.
As we had a car the location was not an issue as the hotel was about 10 minutes from Estepona, 30 mins from Marbella and about an hour by car from Malaga Airport and Gibraltar - so plenty to see and do.
Altogether a lovely stay and we hope to visit again.

Kempinski was absolutely amazing. Especially spiler beach Club. One of the highlights of Spiler beach club which is located directly on the beach and features stunning ocean views. The club is perfect for those who want to enjoy a day by the water while soaking up the sun and indulging in delicious food and drinks. With a wide range of beverages and snacks to choose from. Lisa was an exceptional host who went above and beyond to ensure that my girlfriend and I had a comfortable and enjoyable time there.

Phenomenal customer service. I cannot praise the staff enough for their kindness. The hotel has beautiful well kept grounds and very clean swimming pools. Rooms are of good size and clean but the only downside is is that they could do with some minor renovations. Close to Estepona in a taxi (9 €).

We had a very nice and huge room with a humongous terrace. Staff overall very friendly.

Note that currently one pool is under construction.
