The zoo, though not the cheapest, offers a visually appealing and well-maintained environment. The animals seem content and are kept in good conditions. The inclusion of educational sessions adds a valuable dimension to the visit. The expansive size allows for a full day of exploration, with an optional safari adventure available for an extra fee. Keep in mind that parking is not complimentary, but overall, it's a worthwhile experience for a day of family fun and learning.

Very nice park. We were with two children and it was all fine going by foot there. Lots of animals also saw a few animals which we saw for the first time in our life. It was amazing and they for sure recommend all to visit this interesting park to see animals.

5* for diversity, infrastructure and information. I love to admire the perfection of the nature, it's absolutely stunning but all this will disappear when humans intervene into this perfection. It's fine line between zoo garden and a habitat for animals which needs reintegration.

Safari Tour was a blast. A lot of different animals and nice habitats build for them! Would recommend a visit definitely if you stay here for holiday around Marbella.

This is an absolutely fantastic zoo. I had read on previous reviews that it was 20 euro entry but turned out to be 30 euro. 2 adults and 2 kids aged 13 and 17 so didn't get kids prices for them. 120 euro in total but we'll well worth it. Great place to spend a few hours. The restaurant and cafe areas are also great. Pizzas, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and cold drinks. No need to pay the extra for the jeep safari as you can see everything from just walking. The showers over the walkways were a welcomed treat to cool down in the searing heat ! Lol.
Also the zip line over the lake ravine is fantastic for just 5 euro pp. Kids loved it.
Fantastic spot not to be missed if you are near Estepona.

Great day out... The zoo is spread out, so it never seemed too busy...
Lots of animals - lions, cheetah, rhinos, hippos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, otters etc.
I loved the hanging bridges.
Lots of picnic benches (most in the shade) near the lions/safari area.
Parking is 5€.
Online prices are cheaper for entrance - so book in advance.

Nice zoo and safari. Good to reserve some more hours to do all the activities with time. The safari is a bit pricey but it is worth.

My partner and I visited Selwo Aventura on a whim and were absolutely blown away with the experience. We visited when it was fairly quiet so had no issues with queues or wait times, though still booked tickets online in advance for our own ease. The animals and their enclosures were beautifully well kept. We couldn't believe how close we were able to get to many of the zoo inhabitants. The park itself also has some breathtaking views. We personally didn't bother with the safari trip as the entry tickets are pricey as is, but this isn't necessarily needed as it's possible to walk around and peer in to most of the area the safari drives through. Would thoroughly recommend for a day out - the admission price is 100% worth it for a few hours of wandering. We personally loved the red pandas and lemurs.

Stayed overnight in the Masai lodges. Excellent sized stone and wood built huts. Air conditioned,TV excellent shower and bathroom. View was across the park and the lake..The reception staff were 5* ,they could not do enough for you and were extremely helpful. The restaurant in the park was fair and the evening meal service by a gentleman who spoke some English was helpful. The park was great and the safari trip made it that bit extra special. Well done to all the staff l came into contact with who were polite. My moan is we were told the evening meal could be delivered to your hut. When l asked for this at the restaurant l was told there was no one to do it. So we had to carry the meal back to our hut in the dark with the November chill. Checked meal in hut and found items missing. Not impressed at all. In the past the evening meal has been delivered, this is our 3rd similar visit.

Amazing place. Animals are well looked after and cared for. Perfect family day out. Place is huge with loads of steep hills so wouldn't recommend walking if you have prams or problems walking. But there is safaris you can book and also allows you a closer view of the animals :)

Not really a fan of zoos as I usually feel sorry for the animals, but this is a gem. Firstly it is beautifully laid out and a pleasure to walk around even without the residents. The cafes sold acceptable food at reasonable prices and you could sit and eat alongside stunning views. The animals had room and moved freely in their enclosures. For the most part they looked healthy and alert. A lot of the messaging explained why they were in capitivity and it was not just for human enjoyment. We did visit on a lovely sunny day and when the park was not at its busiest which admittedly helped. Overall I would recommend a visit.

We liked it. Reserve a full day to watch everything. Also when you by tickets it is possible to use discount coupons that you can take upfront in tourist info.

Nice big place. A good few animals to see. About 3 to 4 hours required. Be ready for a walk if you are as lazy as me. Hilly but a good walk. Didnt do the safari so can't comment on that. Kids loved it. That's all that matters.

Great zoo, with lots of well kept animals, convenient infrastructure and easy to follow paths, even with a stroller. Amazing place to visit with young kids, some of animals can be even interacted with directly. Quite big, so to walk it all through, could take around 4-5h. Comparing to a number of other local zoos, this one definitely stands out! Has variety of cafes inside, we ate at one (ribs and burger for kid) and meal were perfect, big and delicious.

One of the best zoos I have ever visited, the views are stunning. Walking through the wild bird enclosure, over "wobbly" bridges was breath taking. The zoo keepers were full of interesting facts and all the staff are really friendly. It was a great experience and my 5 year old loved it! 10/10

Nicely maintained animal park with lots of species that appear well looked after and a variety of exotic plants. Well designed walk that keeps kids entertained. My kid has been both as 3- and as 4-year-old and enjoyed it both times. Good for an all-day plan. I'd suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks as the choice is limited.

What can I say - it really was an adventure! Visited the park with a family of 4, including pre-school children and everybody enjoyed it. Starting from a welcome photo (which was with really good quality) to a wide variety of animals, it had everything you’d expect from a zoo, but it didn’t end there.

They had a long zipline over a pond, a couple of hanging bridges and we also participated in a “safari ride” which was cool. There was an english-speaking guide who talked about the animals while we were driving between them in an open truck, making stops in each enclosure. We could see them up close and also feed zebras.

The bird area was also awesome - huge area with a net so you could walk where the birds were flying. Red panda was really active and our favourite this time around.

All of the employees understood English, so that wasn’t a problem either. Park was easy to find and access by car, not sure about other means of transportation as it was quite a drive from Benalmadena..
