Hotel Bonalba Alicante

This was my very first visit to this hotel and it was part of a Golf Break package. The hotel was a twenty five minute drive from the airport and cost 44 Euros there and the same back. On arrival the reception was clean and welcoming.

The staff spoke English, which is what I would expect but i did try to speak some Spanish. The checking in was smooth and everything was in place as per our booking. The hotel is laid out in a really nice way very open and airy with two sets of stairs taking you down to the lower ground floor where the bar and restaurants were located. The decor is beautiful and plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs.

On this floor there were doors leading to the pool area with lots of seating outside. They had table football and a pool table, so plenty to do if you decide to stay in. We had breakfast as part of the deal so the next morning we went to the breakfast room and this was a nice experience, with a huge variety of food to suit all tastes. There was even a person making omelets and fríen eggs if you fancied that again the staff were great.

Everything was clean and well presented and the staff were polite and helpful. After playing golf for the first day we had a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable, special mention to the one bar staff in particular who made us feel really welcome, thank you Mayte” for great service always with a happy smile.

The rooms were huge with great views my colleague had a room overlooking the pool and part of the golf course. My room also overlooked part of the golf course. My one and only complaint and this bugged me throughout my stay was a huge stain on the carpet in my room and this is the only reason why i wont give this hotel more stars because everything else was great. All the staff were lovely but that stain really bugged me and also one of the towels had a stain on it. So they let themselves down with those two things. Apart from that you will enjoy this hotel which is only five minutes away from the golf course on foot.

Beyond expectation!

Had read a lot of reviews and was skeptical, but definitely not deserved!
Good service, good range of food and drinks (magical for being all inclusive!) and fresh rooms.

If you are not a "Karen" to the staff, they are not a "Karen" to you either…

Neither my husband nor I play golf but wanted a place not in the middle of the center, and it turned out exactly what we wanted!
Lots of activities at the hotel, nothing we necessarily participate in but appreciate that the opportunity exists!
If you wish to be completely child-free, it's not for you, but nothing that bothered us.

Lovely hotel and service. The pool is not so deep but its good and good for kids. There is restaurants close to the hotel and a little shop. Very good food on the hotel and service.

We wanted a few days away relaxing and that is what we got, the staff very helpful and treatments in Spa was very good, the food in the restaurant was amazing and all at a reasonable price all in all great experience 😀

We have just got back from another visit to Bonalba,the hotel is lovely,it’s so clean and the rooms are a lovely size plus comfortable bed,the breakfast is always nice and a good choice for everyone,the staff are lovely and friendly,we have special requests and Marine never fails to meet them.thank you all for another lovely stay.

We visited for a short weekend for our wedding anniversary. Staff in all departments were excellent, welcoming and friendly.

Last day today of a lovely week’s stay, beautiful pool, lots of sun beds but make sure you get up early to get one as very busy. Very nice staff and a special mention to Noelia on reception who was extremely helpful and supportive going above and beyond 🤩🤩🤩 a lovely lady 🥰

Amazing, affordable hotel. Go check it out for a nice relaxing stay whilst you golf, or just chill out.

Very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helpfull at all times.

They have a bar with great cocktails and plenty to choose from.
Also there is a buffet and restaurant.

The rooms are great, nice and big with goos working airconditioning.
There is a big outside swimming pool aswell.

We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend this hotel to frienda and family.

We had a issue with our booking and he really helped us all the beat he could.

Golf trip with the boys, hotel staff in the bar were more than accommodating. Great spot for golf.

Berta and Antonio was amazing, very informative, helpful and accommodating, just because of them we will stay again, the room was nice and big with a beautiful view of the pool and the golf course and all for a very good price.

I want to express my gratitude to the staff of this marvelous hotel Bonalba! I am Ukrainian and I'm under the temporary protection of Spain right now. The Red Cross put us up into this wonderful hotel, which I call PARADISE. I believe that the Spanish Red Cross has made a lot of efforts so that Ukrainians could feel themselves as cozy as at home. Rooms are cleaned every other day, clean linen is changed, laundry is provided, and a kitchen is for every taste, including even kosher dishes. In addition, there is an entertainment program - live music is played in the lobby on Fridays and Saturdays. Musicians and singers are really great! Animator Alex is a very open and lively girl, always involving both adults and children in all kinds of activities. Perhaps, we Ukrainians are not the most welcome guests, but the hotel Bonalba is always open to our requests. Many thanks to every cook, waiter, housekeeper, receptionist, technician, all managers, administration and personally the director of this hotel.

Great hotel but so expensive for taxis to Alicante city and airport other than location it’s a great place to stay

It was recommended by friends and they were right!
Although my friends profile is quite different, because they go to play golf, it is also a good place to go with kids because of the different activities you may find everyday: aqua gym, waterpolo, spa.
It's a quiet place, and everyone (customers and staff) was very polite. The bed was comfortable. I have a back injury and a good mattress is essential for me.
At the beginning I was not very happy with the breakfast buffet, later I discovered there were two lounges and I was going to the small one. So, if you have any complaint talk to the hotel personnel, and they will be happy to solve any situation.

Aunque su perfil es diferente, porque ellos van a jugar al golf, es también un lugar ideal para ir con niños por las actividades que tiene: aquagym, spa...
Es un sitio tranquilo y todo el mundo (personal y clientes) era educado.
La cama me pareció muy cómoda. Tengo problemas de espalda y para mí un buen colchón es algo fundamental.
Al principio no estaba muy contenta con el buffet de desayuno, luego resultó que había dos salones y estaba acudiendo al pequeño.
En resumen, si no estás contento con algo díselo al personal del hotel, se mostrarán encantados de resolver cualquier incidente.

Just returned from two weeks holiday with my family. Absolutely fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool clean and by the end of the day when the sun is no longer on it, it is heated so that it felt like you were walking into a warm bath. Plently of sun loungers and two life guards on duty each day. Rooms were cleaned daily and the food was fantastic, lots of choice with a grill that cooked to order. The children' s entertainment team were wonderful. Mainly Spanish guests, but all very nice and friendly. An absolute find, I don't play golf but will definitely be returning. If booking I would advise full board or all inclusive, unless you have a car as the hotel is quite remote.

Staff amazing couldn't do enough rooms very clean we only had breakfast which was a very good choice hotel was lovely it right out of the way you need a car to get to different places if you want to explore but we were there to relax so wasn't a problem the only thing I would say are the bedroom walls are very thin so couple night didn't get much sleep didn't need to hear the neighbors but I enjoy a lovely week here and had the weather which was a bonus 🌞🌞🌞

I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my fiance. It is set in a lovely area, the pool is large and very nice with plenty of space for sun loungers. Another thing that striked me about the hotel was that the clientele ranged from families, couples, to groups of friends and it felt like we were all in the right place so you can go here for any type of trip. It's not too far from the airport which was handy.
Furthermore the staff are very helpful, we had a personal issue which the staff went above and beyond to help us resolve. Definitely recommend this place.

I have just returned from a fabulous 3 day stay as a couple. We had a lovely pool view double room decorated in a romantic fashion. Comfortable Double bed, good room service. Quiet, relaxed ambience at this time of the year. Stayed for the Spa Facilities which were lovely. Pre booked the treatments which helped, lovely treatments and, Spa facility. Thankyou Spa staff, lovely ladies. Breakfast excellent and bar food very nice and served around the pool area in a polite and very pleasant way. Reception staff very helpful and met all our wishes including a room extension. So happy with our stay we booked again for a Spa break in the New Year. Thankyou Hotel Bonalba for making our stay lovely, relaxing and meeting all our needs. Parking facilities also excellent.
