Platja El Prat

Absolutely favourite beach in Barcelona. Completely different from the rest: clean, empty, loads of shells and treasures, quiet, surrounded by nature and you can see the planes landing nearby.

Haha technically within walking distance of the Barcelona airport! (A little over an hour each way) Surrounded by a lovely nature preserve.

My favourite beach in Barcelona so far. If you're coming from the city centre it may be a bit complicated by public transport, and it could take over one hour. But once you get there, I promise it'll be worth it. No buildings around, perfect white sand, and lots of waves! Specially great for body boarding! If you're coming with young kids, I would be careful though. The current can be pretty strong

Best beach I can reach by bike from Barcelona. It’s 18km and takes you right behind the airport. Water is clean enough, normally never gets too crowded and the people who go here are nice. When the wind is right you hardly notice the planes ;)

For the family very good beach.Nice and clean,bring your food on the way and enjoy at the beach.

I will give this restaurant a 5 star since the customers are really nice, especially the doorman that greeted me in to the restaurant. He was very clear when he spoke and with a kind and friendly tone. He is also the reason why I am writing this review. I will totally come back because of this excellent service. Lots of easy parking right by the beach, especially if you go early. The beach has gained in popularity in recent years with better transport, but it still isn't as crowded as some of the well known beaches. There are some chiringuitos. There are volleyball nets and children's parks. There are lookouts to view the airplanes taking off and landing. There is a nature refuge and nice walking or cycling paths in the area. There is a boardwalk that runs the length of the beach so one can walk the beach with a stroller or wheelchair.

Family beach, flat and calm with soft sand. Parking is easy on a motorcycle and was lots of spaces for cars in paid parking zone

One reason why this is an amazing beach is that there are not many people. So please just ignore my 5-star rating and don’t go there!
