Hotel Fuerte Grazalema

The most beautiful hotel in the most beautiful location. Would thoroughly recommend. Note of caution - because the building and location are so spectacular it perhaps raised our expectations of the food and service, both of which were perfectly good, but not exceptional. The hour's walk to the nearby town is well worth it, it's a really lovely town. Pool and hot tub were great. And the nearby restaurant just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel is amazing.

This is a beautiful Hotel, top notch everything. Comfortable, clean, fun, great service, great staff. Fun restaurant on premises and close to little mountain town Grazalema, which is stunning. American hotels could learn a lot from this place. It is first class, but not expensive at all. If I ever get married again, this Is where we will honeymoon. Best hotel experience in my life since the Hilton on Governor's Row in Santa Fe I'm the 1980s. For reals, don't tell everyone, just people you really like. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Lovely hotel located in the Natural Parc Sierra de Grazalema and at just 5km from one of the most beautiful towns in Spain named Grazalema.
- Room: really comfy bed and a nice balcony. I would have loved having a see-through balcony rail or a lower one, so you get better views from the bedroom.
- Facilities: swimming pool, small jacuzzi, games area, nice terrace.
- Breakfast: huge selection of good food and drinks.
- Service: nice staff but we had to wait a long time until someone could take orders. We even had to go find someone every single time we wanted to ask something or order food.
Overall a nice experience to relax in a beautiful environment.

Fantastic location with view to Grazalema, the room are comfortable, the staff very friendly and the restaurant worthy every penny. Get dinner and breakfast included, you will be surprised by the quality and the variety of the food.

This hotel is fabulous simply for the views! The room was comfortable and I appreciated they had sky news and CNN in English. The bed was very comfortable and they give you plenty of pillows! The fact they let my dog stay was wonderful although the dog could not go in the public areas but that was ok. The food was quite good. My only complaint was I wish they served dinner earlier than 8pm. Beware they have a trail to walk to Grazalema but we found it to be quite narrow and treacherous so we turned around. The price is very reasonable too. I'll be back!

We had a wonderful time at the hotel. Enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the room was very comfortable. Enjoyed being so close to Grazalema to go visit several times. The only very slight issue we had was that our toilet drain would not close once flushed. The service person came and told us we simply needed to hit the tank on the side for the stopper to fall down and allow the tank to fill up. So we did that. It didn't take away from our experience, but you may want to get that fixed before too long. Room 411 Fuerte Grazalema. Thanks.

A nice 4 star especially price to what you get including dinner. And finally some nice salads! Very kind and patient service. Rooms are not big but have a terrace and comfy bed. Pool and playground in the middle of nature. Nice.

We had a wonderful time at your hotel. Especially the breakfast and the evening buffets were outstanding.

Only one point: the number of (free) power outlets was too low for these modern times were you need to recharge phone, computer, GPS, and other devices constantly.

AS usual, we have enjoyed another excellent stay. From the moment we arrive there is a very warm welcome from Julia, the room is spotlessly clean and ready for us. The pool was clean and inviting, and we enjoyed lunch in the poolside bar. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent range of fresh fruit, breads and pastries, cereals, cold meats, and many cooked choices as well. The only small complaint was that on Friday night in the bar ( 11.30 pm ) there were a lot of children running around, very noisy, clambering over furniture, and it was difficult to carry on a conversation with our friends. This is not necessarily the hotels fault as the parents should have been more responsible, however, if there was a smaller, quiet area for those guests who are travelling without children to have a drink, it would be much better. If space doesnt allow, perhaps a 10.30 childrens curfew could be applied to the bar. !!

Great experience fantastic hotel view from top balcony nover pool and valley to grazalema unbeatable ! Restaurant was top notch - we had dinner - fantastic! and breakfast also very good. Loved pool and also the farmyard animals. Will definitely return!

The restaurant is to noisy!!
The salads on the buffet are very good.As I have a allergy on almonds and nuts, I would like to have at least 2 salads without nuts every day.
The staff is extremely friendly.

Very nice hotel in the mountains with a great view at Grazalema and the hills around. Sitting on the terrace and watching the sun go down while sipping white whine is terrific. The rooms are clean, facing Grazalema and at least during my two night stay were really quiet at night. The evening buffet is great and includes regional dishes. Personally I really liked my stay and welcomed that the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. Nice place to calm down for some days.

Lovely location with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Good location for hiking. Very efficiently run hotel with excellent varied choice and quality of food served both at breakfast and for evening meal

Exceptional location, great views!
The breakfast..., LOVED it! Never have seen such a big choice in Spain of healthy options! All kinds of replacement for milk ; Rice drink, Oat drink , soja... Lots of fresh juices, fruit etc. As vegetarian, very happy with the choice!!
Rooms are bright, beds are good and everything Spotless!

Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. Its about 4km from grazalema (which u must visit too). The views from the pool and restaurant are picturesque. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. This hotel also accepts pets! There is a small park for kids and animals(wild and some belonging to the hotel). They have a dog that u can take for a walk, great idea for the kids, u just need to ask for the leash in reception. There is also a small ecological plot. You are surrounded by rabbits while sunbathing, not many hotels can offer that! The pool is big and there is a jacuzzi facing the beautiful mountains.I also highly recommend hiking around the area as there are several routes to try out. If you are looking for something other than beaches and like a bit of nature this place is perfect for you.

A great hotel within a stunningly beautiful setting in the Grazalema mountains. Well kept, friendly staff, nice pool and good selection in the breakfast and dinner buffets. Great location to explore the nearby White Towns or to just relax and absorb the views. Highly recommended.

Well appointed hotel in a great location. Fabulous swimming pool. Really friendly, helpful and polite staff many of whom spoke some English.

Great hotel in remote but beautiful setting. Staff very good and buffet breakfast and evening meal excellent. Rooms a little dated but very comfortable. Well worth a visit.
