We almost passed this up thinking it was too tiny and busy, but it was big inside! Food was great, tasty, homey. The ratatouille with fried eggs on top was fab.

They were so nice and welcoming, even when I messed up our reservation. I went with my husband and two children. We all have very different tastes and everyone was very happy. Quite a feat! I would recommend the menu del día because they had great and yummy options for varying tastes The service was quick and efficient. We would definitely go back when next in Madrid

Perfect place for a quick lunch close to the Retiro park. The Gus sandwich was only 6 euros, is large & tasty, and comes with fries. Food came in minutes. Nice outdoor patio in a good area.

Great little spot to eat well and keep a low profile. Best Cappuccino. With table sections in the front and back area.

I spent the last three months in Madrid with my family and we had breakfast and lunch at this amazing place almost every day. Not only the menu is very traditional and affordable but the food is delicious and makes you feel like you’re eating at someone’s house. What is most special of this restaurant is their people. When you step in David behind the bar and Pablo will welcome you like someone they already know and is already a friend. Grab a "pincho" or "barrita" (bread with tomato and olive oil) together with a "cañita" (small glass of beer) and enjoy the atmosphere of this place. Having lunch at AZ is a must, Jesus together with Emilio will make your experience worthwhile.

Great food and service. Went out of their way to make us feel at homes. The croquetas de jamón, swordfish and calamari were delicious!
