Trattoria Malatesta

Thought we would try some Italian will in Madrid. The food and wine were excellent. The service was very good, although the servers were run off their feet. Loved the atmosphere.

Amazing restaurant, fast service and great food! We had trouble speaking Spanish, but Flor was amazing communicating with us to order the right dishes with its quantity. Baked provolone cheese was delicious, salad had a nice crunch with nuts and creamy goat cheese, and the pizza was cooked well with lots of toppings. I would definitely go there again and ask for Flor for an amazing dining experience!

Amazing restaurant!! I went there to celebrate my 1st anniversary with my boyfriend. The place is cozy, though full of people at times, I highly recommend to make a reservation if you want to come here, as you will have to wait around 40 minutes for a table.

There good was amazing! Both my boyfriend and I loved it and every penny we spent there was worth it! The waiter was very polite and professional; he explained the menu to us with great detail and helped us to choose what to order.

I will surely come back here for every special date with my family, friends and partner.

There are so many options in Madrid, but I was lucky enough to select Trattoria Malatesta. Their food was just delicious. Depending on what you order, your portions might be small or large. I'd recommend an appetizer to begin with. You will not go wrong choosing this place.

Located in a hidden small street, in the old center of the city, you’ll find a nice restaurant, with small terrace and tasty food. The portions are very big, the orders comes very fast and service is very professional. We tried as follows: risotto, spaghetti Al forno, pizza Primavera- all tasted very very good! Prices are moderate and we received also something to drink from the house (at the end)

Beautiful restaurant, we ordered chicken, norma pasta, seafood paella, mushroom risotto, 2 types of pizza and each dish was perfect. Our waiter was also great.

It’s a pity I didn’t take more photos. It’s a great Italian place that also had a few Spanish options, and even a vegan paella. We were a large group and they were able to accommodate us and provide an excellent service!

Service was great and the food was too. I recommend making a reservation online as it got crowded quickly. We loved everything we had; Focaccia, eggplant parmigiana, and seafood pasta.

Arrived early and had to wait a bit for the food to be prepared. Had a Spaghetti Carbonara and it was delicious. The people were also very nice.

What a good experience. Some of, if not the, best Italian food I have eaten. It's a bit pricey but everything was delicious and well worth it. Went for a date night and would certainly return.

We came here 7 years ago and were happy with the experience! So we came back on this trip! The food was just as good as we remembered!

The food is very good! and proper italian with fresh made pasta. I ordered the classic carbonara and the special of the day which was squid ink spaghetti with tomato sauce and octopus. Both dishes were great and so flavourful. I recommend it!

This restaurant serve high quality food, they did not cheap out on the ingredients as you can see in the pictures. Would recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone.

This place get really crowded quickly. So if you want to have a delicious pizza or some other fancy Italian dish, I can really recommend this place!

The food was very good. We really liked the special of the day appetizer, a burrata, jamon, and salad plate that was large enough to share for 3-4 people. Also the Tagliatelle de la Casa was also outstanding. I will be back the next time we visit Madrid!

One of the best Italian restaurants in madrid

The food was delicious. As soon as we entered in the restaurant, we were taken over by Mr. Alexandru who was also our waiter.
We ate Burrata and Pasta and at the end we received an alcoholic shot on the house.
In case you do not know what to order, Mr. Alexandru will definitely know what to recommend you.

Best meal I've had in Spain and a reasonable price. They are upfront about the pricing (such as the appetizer and dessert special being 20 euros per person instead of for two people. The appetizers and desserts are particularly amazing, as is the wine.

Authentic italian restaurant with great food and service
We started with insalata mista that was ok some leaves were not very fresh but they have replaced it immediately with a fresh one. The main dish was superb- taliatelle with fresh porcini mushrooms. It was excellent!!!!
For dessert we had millfoi cream and strawberries- perfect!!!
