Churrería Madrid 1883

We came here first thing in the morning and these were surprisingly delicious. Priced at 4,95 these make the PERFECT snack. Once you order they start frying them right away. They serve them in different shapes here but we got the thin ones which comes with 4 churros and a cup of chocolate. The chocolate here is like pudding but with a stronger chocolate flavour than the popular churros place in the city.

The churro comes out HOT and it's crispy and buttery. This is where I learned what real churros are. Not the sugary ones that you get in America but these come actually kind of savoury. It's buttery and goes so well with chocolate. Now I know why they are always served with it.

I would definitely recommend this place to people for churros. It's a bit out of the touristy area but it's well worth the walk. It's also not very big but in the morning there aren't many people except locals who are eating breakfast.

Friend recommended that we should definitely try this place. We went there first without checking the schedule and found out they closed early everyday. Finally, we came here today. WOW! It’s 10 times better than churros in California. We had churros in other stores here in Madrid but this is the one!

Delicious churros and hot chocolate in a nice small and friendly place

Delicious churros and affordable. (0.40 cents for a churro, a cup of chocolate cost 2,50 and cappuccino 2,20€). The chocolate was great. The only thing if I really have to say something to improve is perhaps the temperature of the cappuccino. It was too hot. It will burn your tongue, so sip it slowly or wait for 5 minutes before drinking. All in all, I loved the experience. Thank you.

We have been here multiple times. Service is always very friendly and most efficient. They even add up your order to check if you better pay for a menu instead of the single prices! The churros and porras are made fresh the whole day. Sometimes just the actual order. The place is small with seven tables but we enjoied it. And the churros and porras were always perfect.

Great churros and Porras. The place has a very authentic feel to it and is clearly frequented by many locals who pick up breakfast - always a good sign. It’s quite small (about 4-5 tables) and there is a constant stream of people queuing up for their churro fix. Highly recommended!

The best!! Did you know that "churros" are the healthiest breakfast of them all?? And here you will find the best ones; not greasy, not too sweet.., perfection. Either to take them away or have them onsite (a little more room would be great though). Been refurbished a couple years ago to a more trendy spot, you will find here the tourists (unavoidable in this neighbourhood) and the local parish, the clubbers and the natives... All there for the its great "churros" and "porras", don't miss it
