Very nice place. Lunch service consists of small plates of local food (see menu in photos). The octopuss was delicious and the ration was just perfect. Ask for Vivi, she is the nicest person you could find and irradiates happines. There is both outside and inside tables plus standing barrels in the street.

Just perfect! After 4 hours visiting Prado, very hungry at more than 4 pm, we end up randomly in this place. I am always scared in Madrid to end up in a place too touristic, this place is just perfect. Joder, unos callos y unos huevos con jamón y te quedas nuevo.

The concierge at our nearby hotel, The Westin Palace, recommended Cervantes to us last year in 2022. We loved it and ate there twice during our 3 days in Madrid. We returned this year with friends who also loved it and we again ate there two nights out of our 3 days in Madrid. The jamon croquettes, shrimp tostados, mushrooms tostados, smoked salmon tostados, cheese plate, and whatever the shrimp item is that looks like a pancake are all fabulous. Per the people at the next table, the octopus is also great. The service is amazing. It's tiny, but people get served quickly. We have never had to wait for a table.

Great place to enjoy a brunch or late lunch.

Very popular and busy, and clearly for a reason.: good atmosphere, wonderful small biting. The most popular to us were: Croquetas de Jamón and Zambiriñas a laplancha con ajo.

Great place to taste some tapas. For some reason google thinks this is a hotel (it’s for eat only) . It’s a bit crowded on rush hours so be patient. The “pulpo” was great and the tapas with “setas” too.

Located near city center, this little casual restaurant provide tasty and good quality foods, with reasonable price. The server does not speak English, but we can communicate through Google translation and it works well.

A place for raciones rather than tapas, but the food is genuinely very good - we loved the artichoke hearts with jamon in particular, but the octopus carpaccio was also good. Friendly service. Not sure why it comes up as a hotel - it's a restaurant!

Always good for a beer or wine and some excellent tapas. Be aware that there is the bar area and the restaurant area. For the restaurant, especially for Sunday lunch, one needs to reserve. Sunday lunch (in winter at least) there is only one fixed menue centered around the Cocido Madrileño (a variation on the french pot au feu - meat, veg and chickpeas in a broth). Very nice service as well.

We had arrived 3:30 and the place was mega busy. But the staff were aware of who was next and who was waiting. A table was found for us and menus brought in our language. Great choice and freshly cooked food. Good wine list too. We tried the Empunada Casera Riquisimo a kind of flat pie with breadstick pastry and a tuna, pimento and tomato filling. It was delicious. The garlic prawns were sizzling hot and with a hint of chilli too Great food and lively atmosphere

5 stars for this classic Spanish bar. The portions are served as fast as a blink of an eye. The service is very professional and the "croquetas" are definitely amazing.

Just go there!

Amazing place. Don't miss it if you come to Madrid. Prices are super reasonable and food is outstanding. Service is great. I usually don't like to go to the same place twice, well, i went every day of my 5 day stay. Always Amazing.

Superb food! Dishes are Absolutely delicious! Note that the prices are not tapas prices- the portion is much larger! We had the padron pimentos and octopus and they are just heavenly. Close to the Prado museum, but not at all touristy- place to go for good beer and authentic food👍👍.
