Bodegas Finca La Emperatriz

Today we had an amazing tour here, we were pleasantly surprised that we were the only one so we had the pleasure to enjoy the tour hosted by Aranza. As she is from this region, she shared many interesting facts about La Rioja. Also, she showed us around while the gapes were being harvested and this was truly unique. Very knowledgeable and she takes time to answer all your questions.

I would highly recommend to visit this winery for people who are interested in a different style of tour, as this winery guides you through the vineyards and explains a lot about the way the wine is grown.

Very genuine and personal visit, which we very much appreciated.

Went for a wine tasting by the vineyard, but got there very late; however, the nice member of staff was very kind and patient while we tasted their wines and talked us through every single one of them. The grounds were beautiful, and we would all go back for their wine and the sitting area by the closest vineyard.

We had an amazing visit and tasting today. Arantza told us so much about the history and interesting facts from the winery and area. She even suggested a great place for lunch in the next village.

Beautiful location, stunning garden to sit and taste the delicious wines. Very nice people also. The best experience with bodegas in this region!

Our favorite winery in La Rioja. Definitely worth a visit as it’s usually not as crowded as some of the others and their wine is superior. A real hidden gem.

An absolutely lovely vineyard!
We arrived to the region late afternoon and found this genuine and welcoming vineyard not far from Haro. The history is royal and the farm is small and picturesque with a hint of southern France. Very clean and well maintained, but foremost a great hostess that guided us around and ended the tour with a tasting that was rich in taste and history. We were the only visitors at 4pm on a Wednesday so it turned into a private tour. Two adults with children (10 yrs and 13 yrs), who also felt very welcomed, having grape juice and playing with the dogs, cats and visiting the farm’s chickens and horses. This is a place we would love to visit again. (If you are going then try their Rioja bianco Reserva. It’s a premium!)

We spent 2 hours in a beautiful setting with wine and a knowledgeable host. To understand an estate that creates wine from beginning to end, owning the difficulty of growing, understanding the complexity of grape blends and all that comes with this vineyard. Alejandro brought it all for us and helped us to understand the history and the culture of this region and winery. Highly recommended that you tour or visit.

Visited this beautiful vineyard and experienced a wine tour and tasting. Our host, Alejandro, was knowledgable and personable. The tour focused on the vineyard and growing conditions in the Rioja region and its impact on the grape harvest. We also learned about how this Bodega differs in geography and practices. We learned a great deal as novices. We enjoyed a generous tasting and side plate.

The facilities are notable and the tour was memorable. Hands down, it was my favorite experience in this beautiful wine region.

Dont hesitate if you are debating a list of wineries, put this one on the top of your list.

I was incredibly impressed with the wine tourism here. Had a very personalized, in depth tour of the vineyards and wine facilities, with a very detailed tasting of multiple wines. This is really one of the benchmark moments of visiting the wine country.

Was there last month,simply the best place we went to for a while….the Villa is amazingly beautiful,equipped and spacious.The vineyard is so beautiful you just want to be there the whole day.A place of total privacy.Their wine is espectacular.The service and staff there are all very very friendly and accommodating.Thanks for making our stay a memorable one.Highly recommended!

Muy interesante descubrir el vino partiendo de su nacimiento. Pasear entre viñas con una gran entendida como Arancha me hizo entender muchas cuestiones que desconocía. La visita se alargò más de una hora de lo previsto casi sin darnos cuenta 😅. Muchas gracias al equipo de La emperatriz!!! Les visitaremos de nuevo.

Geweldig. We hebben een rondleiding en proeverij gedaan. Super gastvrij ontvangen, leuke bevlogen hostess. Wij hebben echt genoten. Super lekkere wijnen en ook de proeverij is een aanrader. Naderhand hebben we diverse wijnen gekocht in de mooie winkel.

Recomendable 100%. Genial la explicación y anécdotas de la guía, Blanca, intentad que sea ella quien haga la visita. El viñedo es precioso. La cata muy bien explicada, maridada con picoteo de embutidos, quesos y patatas fritas.

Visita muy recomendable entre viñedos, en la que te explican los detalles de una buena producción de uva, la materia prima para poder producir un vino excelente.

Las villas son muy bonitas y no le falta detalle, el atardecer es espectacular, todo nos ha gustado, la cata, pasear por las viñas, los pueblos de alrededor.
El personal amable te hacer sentir como en casa.
Está muy bien comunicado tiene ciudades relativamente cerca que puedes visitar durante el día y volver a tu rincón relax y ver el atardecer con una copa de vino.

Gran visita al viñedo de la mano de Arancha, muy amable explicando todos los detalles tanto históricos como técnicos del proceso en el campo. La cata final excelente, con estilos para todos los gustos en un ambiente muy agradable.

Hemos ido un grupo de amigos a visitar la bodega y a hacer la cata y hemos acabado encantados con todo, la experiencia con Manu ha sido increíble, cómo nos ha contado toda la historia desde el siglo XIX hasta nuestros días, el poder andar alrededor de los viñedos y probar las uvas, la intimidad de la visita y la cata, nos ha encantado. Volveremos sin duda. ¡Muchas gracias por todo!
