What a gem of a hotel. In this antique palace you will encounter a hospitality, service and personalized care which is rare to find nowadays. The breakfast buffet is delicious and generous with most products home made and/or sourced locally. The local village is by far the prettiest and most authentic we have encountered during our trip to La Rioja. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved this hotel. Laura and Jose were the ultimate hosts and really made us feel welcome and valued. If you are lucky enough to stay here I highly recommend the visit to Bodega Lecea, and the Saturday evening tour and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast was superb. So pleased we discovered this hotel, it is really one of my favourite places to stay.

Unbelievably good! Our hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. They have turned a relic into a most interesting hotel, cleverly feating renovated artifacts found in the building shell at the time of purchase. 8 years later and guests like us are so lucky to have been booked in here. The food was haut cuisine. The quietness was perfect and even the nearby church bell went to sleep overnight!

We just checked out after 4 beautiful days at Teatrisso. The hotel has been converted from a spectacular property that used to serve as the local theater. Laura and Jose have taken care of every detail to make sure you feel welcomed into the grandeur of that era. Rooms are spacious with high ceilings and each one is decorated differently. Beds are comfy and linens are of great quality. The homemade food was absolutely amazing. Breakfast is served in their dinning room but you can also sit in the garden and enjoy your morning coffee al fresco.
For our visit I mentioned to Laura what our interests were since we visited with our teenage son and wine is not on the top of his list just yet and she graciously put us in contact with oja sports to arrange an ATV’s tour thorough the vineyards visiting three towns and enjoying the most delicious picnic sitting by the river.
The location of Teatrisso is perfect to explore La Rioja with many excellent wineries nearby. Surrounded by little towns, beautiful churches, rivers and even medieval bridges your visit will be one to remember. You’ll want to explore as much as possible without compromising the slow paced of rural Spain.
Teatrisso delivered great value, outstanding service and memories to last a lifetime.

Could not fault it. Lovely hotel and the owners did everything possible to make our stay a pleasant one. From the warm welcome, excellent breakfasts and local advice all made for a memorable stay. We will be back.

Spent a week there in late August 2020. 2 kids and the dog = no problem! Everyone loved it! Quaint little town and so much to see in the immediate 10-15min driving vicinity. Wonderful hosts Laura and Jose look after your every need...including a great home cooked breakfast! Thank you for everything, we will be pop up from Madrid again soon.

Laura was so accommodating. The hotel is welcoming, hip and comfortable. The room was beyond expectations. The claw foot bathtub was superb and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was over the top and was more than needed. We would stay here again if we come back!

The owners are lovely and very helpful. The hotel situated in the heart of the old town is't and experience in itself. Much love and attention to detail have gone into the decoration of each individual room. All the rooms have a cinematografic theme.
From the point of view of a disabled customer, there is a lift to the different floors and the spacious walking shower is a luxury.Beds are superb and comfortable.
The breakfast is tasty, with variety and quality, but the best was the the cakes and omelettes prepared by the owner.
The owners provide plenty information about the surrounding areas for you to visit and also provide a mini guided tour and history of the actual hotel.
Highly recommended as a romantic weekend or a quick getaway.
The town is big and picturesque.
As a not so positive note ,there is only one small shop but just on the outskirts of the town there is a petrol station with a shop. There are 3 restaurants.
For those with sleeping problems the hotel is situated next to church, but from midnight the bells stop chiming.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. It is extremely clean and comfortable. The rooms are all tastefully decorated and the location is great. The owners are friendly and helpful. It was wonderful to sit in the courtyard and relax. The breakfast was nice. Would highly recommend staying here.

Even without taking into account the cost, the hotel is simply amazing. Very stylish, small boutique hotel, with personal service and a great breakfast.

We spent only one night, but the town and area seems to be perfect for a week or so! We are looking to come back!

Fantastic stay in the heart of Rioja. The hotel is a beautiful restored Palace from the 16th century. The owners are amazingly warm and welcoming and make sure your stay is perfect. The village is adorable and less touristy compared to neighboring Haro which we also enjoyed. I couldn't imagine a more special place to enjoy our time in Rioja. Cannot wait to return!

Teatrisso is a must stay when visiting Rioja! The owner, Laura, is a fantastic host and will do anything she can to help your stay become extraordinary!! The rooms are clean and very cozy. Each room has its own unique flair. The bed is very comfortable and will make you well rested for your adventures. The breakfast in the morning was very delicious, full for fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, and hams. Laura even makes you lattes and fresh squeezed orange juice. Teatrisso is very close to all of the many vineyards but is very close to castillo de cuzurrita which is highly recommended also!

Laura went out of her way to make my stay special for me and my fiance. It was such a joy to stay there. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Thank you very much and I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Amazing place, with the best hosts, incredible food, comfortable rooms, and surprisingly beautiful little town. Highly recommended if you are in La Rioja. Laura and Jose, the owners, are great! Our group of friends had a wonderful time there.

Wonderful hotel in an old castle. Great hostess and excellent breakfast. Very nice, large room. Honor bar and snacks. VERY quiet town, but at least one very good restaurant.

Amazing hotel, the only thing I didn't like was the moment I had to leave... The Lady Laura is very nice and very helpful! If I get the chance, I'll surely return to this hotel! Highly recommended.
