Relaxed atmosphere, with elevated dining, served by warm and friendly people.
There is a good selection of varied dishes, and the portions are a good size.
There is also a very nice selection of wines.
The tables are large and not close to each other.
Be aware that you may not get potatoes or vegetables with your main course, so order a side dish if wanted.
The dessert plate of 6 is large, and too much for one person. It is better shared.
The lemon sorbet is available with Cava, if required.
Finally, if travelling from San Sebastian in the evening for dinner, it is very difficult for the restaurant to get you a taxi back. You may have to order one from San Sebastian to pick you up.
We loved our meal, and would definitely visit again.
One final point, the duck is typically served pretty raw, tell them if you want it cooking more.

A cozy place owned by one of the top chefs in Spain. On most days you can reserve the gastronomy serving. All creations by Karlos...good wine list also. The rooms are nice and they're clean. You'll need early reservations.

We went for the tasting menu and overall we were not disappointed! Living in Denmark, we think the price was definitely more than reasonable and though we personally did not feel like we ended on a high note with the desert, we’re sure others could more than enjoy it and there wasn’t anything to fault the rest of the dishes for. The food was marvelous and we got more than full from the menu!

Didn't stay at the hotel, but the bar is perfect to have a nice coffee/hot chocolate and enjoy the beach view.
The pastries are top-french-level quality, and I dare to say that they also offer the best Ice cream by the beach

Lovely setting overlooking the bay. We first tried the coffee shop in 2015 and remembered the homemade cheesecake with prunes. A second visit in 2017 confirmed it's the best cake we have ever eaten. Good coffee and nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended. We hope to return some day. It's a long drive from Scotland but we'll be sure to order the same again when we return. Thank You

Fabulous pastry and a coffee while watching the surfers. Waiters are running to keep up. What more could you want at the beach?

Bit more expensive than expected in this region but worth every penny. Best chocolate cake I ever had, seriously good coffee too! (Just found out Karlos is a famous chef, hence the prices) Will be back for the pinxtos later

One of the restaurants of the famous celebrity chef - Karlos Arguiñano. We tried their menu degustacion with 5 dishes (including dessert) + complimentary pintxo for €45. Everything was great exept for the Causca Vasca (crepe) maybe but the servings were generous and the staffs were attentive and friendly. The resto is located next to the beach, the view is amazing. I loved the tasting dessert esp. the tiramisu. The price was pretty reasonable I'd say. I would recommend it when visiting Zarautz.

One of the Greatest restaurant in town. Gastronomy is a very serious matter in Basque country... you will spend a lot of money but your mind will be blown up... great waiters, great wines... you will be pampered.

Arguably one of the best restaurant in Zarautz, with delicious and varied food (changed monthly), excellent service and good prices for the quality provided. Menus and service are provided in English, French, Spanish and Basque. It is popular so reservation is a must.

Love this place right on the beach surrounded by beautiful mountain's . The were lots of kiosks which made the place extremely vibrant. Wish had the time to spend in the area w excellent food, desserts out of this world, I will stay forevermore.

Very pretty place and located in a beautiful town. There is not parking near the restaurant and have to walk a few minutes but definitely worthwhile.

Great service and food. Everything was fresh and tasty. If you can't decide let the staff help you with that. We had arroz caldoso and a I started and no regrets, super full and amazing taste ❤

Traditional cuisine with extremely fresh and high quality ingredients. Quality / price is very good. The views from the terrace are beautiful, overlooking the beach.

(Second visit back and it is even better).. What flavours, wonderful staff, the matron is his son and brilliant food... If you are within 50km of this restaurant you have to try to get in..
