Worth visiting place. Next to the river and it has some nice views. The exterior is more attractive than the interior. The views are a bit blocked by the little columns on the roof but still worth to climb and have a look around.

Lovely little tower gem in Seville. Includes a small but very good maritime naval museum with scale models and gold historical info on pivotal figures and journeys. Great views all around from the top. A 3 euro donation is recommended at the entrance.

Free access with voluntary contribution (small amount of fee) to the navy. Do not miss the display area on the ground floor next to the entrance for going up. It tells the historical story of Seville and this tower - very interesting and fascinating. On the top of the tower there is amazing view of the river and the lovely city. The sunshine in the winter makes the city bright and soft. Definitely must-go in Seville. Also it is nice to walk along the river bank! Some cruises start here!

Torre del Oro is a Moorish tower built to protect the harbor of Seville in 1220. The height of the tower is 37 meters. Once there was a similar tower on the other side of the river, and when necessary, they stretched a chain between the towers to prohibit the passage of ships. There is a small museum in the tower and an observation deck at the very top. There is a free visit time.

It is not far from the cathedral, and it is free to go in, but you can pay €3 donation on the voluntary basic.

There are some exhibitions about the naval history of Sevilla. When you get up to the top, you will see the city from the stairs. Suggest to come around sunset hours the whole city just looks stunning.

30 minutes, is enough for this attraction.

fascinating & interesting attraction. Lots of Spanish navel history. Artefacts are fantastic, the maps are amazing and give a totally different view.

Great reproduction of the Santa Maria near the Bull fighting ring. Amazing to think of the voyage on this ship.

You can go in and check out the maritime museum and the view from top of the tower. But you can also admire it from the outside - it’s pretty much one of a kind.

Try to search about Torre del pro before you visit , when you get there everything will be make more sense for you . Basically the torre del oro used to be the place where they used to keep and count the oro ( gold) before they send to the bank . I hear different stories about the torre .

They had pictures of the artwork right outside and were showing them for free.
What a great idea, and I would love to see more museums do this. It's a great way to get people interested, and then they will go buy a ticket to see the rest of the artwork.

When my wife and I arrived in Seville, our first walk along the river was to
Torre del Oro. It is a twelve-cornered military observation tower from the 13th century. It stands in Seville, on the left bank of the Guadalquivir River. Today it houses the Maritime Museum. The tower is known for its golden glow, after which it got its name.

Inside is a small but wonderfully informative maritime museum with ship models from different time periods. Entry is free, but a voluntary donation is appreciated. Great views from the top of the city and river.

This was a cool little museum with an excellent view from the top area. I wish I would have had more time to look around it was a brief stopover while waiting for a walking tour.
