Palacio Tondon, La Rioja Brinas

5 stars all around. The service was incredible, all the staff at this location (front desk, breakfast, wine bar , terrace .. superb and kind). The rooms are beautiful (especially those with river views) and the common areas as peaceful, stylish and cozy. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. I'm so happy it's part of Marriott now so that we can use our Bonvoy points. We will definitely be back ❤✨ ps it's dog friendly!!!

We just had a great stay at the Palacio Tondon. It’s located in a small pretty town in the heart of the wine region. The hotel has excellent upscale service, is tastefully restored and was very comfortable. There is plentiful free street parking nearby. The breakfast is excellent and offers a wide selection of quality options and eggs cooked fresh. We didn’t have dinner at the hotel but would recommend going to another town nearby such as Haro for a lively experience.

Nice hotel, great views, clean and comfortable. Service was excellent, all staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was good but no variety. Was loud in the town at night.

A hybrid between old world charm and modern, chic blend of masculine and feminine elements. We stayed in a riverside suite which was perfect for our single night stay.

The surrounding community is quaint and quiet. Near many beautiful and delicious vineyards. Perfect for a wine lover or someone who would love a romantic weekend with a nice bottle (or two) of wine.

A little gem on the bank of the River Ebro in the quaint and beautiful village of Brinas in the heart of Rioja. This hotel has a contemporary feel in traditional facade and made for a wonderful 3-night stay. It enjoys a riverside setting in tranquil countryside and is the perfect place to stay and relax for anyone, like us, who is in the area to visit one or more of the wineries in the area.

The hotel is charming with the sandstone facade from its original build as a mill. The building complements its surrounds perfectly and plays its part in making Brinas the beautiful and tranquil village it is. Inside guests are treated to a very well styled, contemporary property which boasts well appointed rooms and quality fixtures and fittings. Our room, a deluxe double with river view, had the most amazing panoramic vista of the Ebro and the surrounding countryside.

Staff were very attentive and courteous and the food at breakfast and dinner was excellent and, as you would expect, so were the wines!!

Highly recommended for a stay in this beautiful area of Spain.

Stunning property at a marvelous location! Rooms are modern, high end, cozy and comfortable. Views to the Ebro river and vineyards are amazing both from the rooms and the terrace. Restaurant serves traditional local cuisine with a modern approach that tastes great, alongside outstanding service. Wine list is very comprehensive and the sommelier and the staff are very knowledgeable. And to make the stay even better the staff is very attentive, friendly and go above and beyond to tend to your needs.

Special shoutout to Paula who made us feel at home and also helped us recover a luggage we had left behind. She is awesome!

Truly delightful hotel with an ideal location and very helpful team at reception and in the hotel restaurant. I had such an incredible time after two days that I changed my travel plans and stayed an extra two days. The hotel is in the small town of Briñas conveniently located on the River Ebro within a 45-mins walk to Haro where some of the best wineries in La Rioja are. Also within reasonable driving distance are numerous scenic towns and villages. The hotel itself offers modern amenities in a historic building and it even has its own wine cave. The hotel restaurant and bar are worth a visit too. And as mentioned the team working there went above and beyond to recommend places to visit, including bodega tours, neighboring towns and places to eat. Already looking forward to returning once more!

Fantastic hotel in a small gem of a town right in the heart of wine country. The hotel was stylish, the views were great, and the room was very comfortable. The restaurant was also outstanding and the food was delicious. Hard to find any faults and have already recommended to several family and friends.

Lovely location overlooking the river. Nice wine bar and very good restaurant. Walking distance to 8 bodegas (which staff helped arrange a visit). Really enjoyed it

Amazing spot for wine lovers, we will definitely be returning on our next trip to La Rioja. It has a cave with spots to sit down and enjoy your wine, the staff is very friendly, there's an amazing patio with bar service and views of the river, Our room had the view of the river and a balcony and we loved it every morning. The hotel is in a town with no more than 250 habitats so its always nice, relaxing, quiet, and very welcoming.

Best hotel in Rioja. Marques de Riscal is the showstopper, but here is where you want to stay and relax.

We had an incredible stay at that Palacio Tondon property in La Rioja. The property itself is immaculate - rooms have a sleek, modern but minimilast design, all made of wood, fitting in perfectly with the surrounding Rioja area. They overlook the hills and river running through the town. The property is located in the small town of Briñas: a quiet, riverside town with lots of charm and lovely locals that welcome the guests of Palacio Tondon. Staying in this small town redefined paradise - it was extremely relaxing. The property’s restaurant and terrace are top-rated, and customer care is top of mind. We appreciated that this property offered breakfast, and free parking in the streets adjacent to the hotel. The property’s location is perfect - it is away from the touristic crowds of towns like La Guardia or Longoño, but an easy and short drive away, close enough to venture into for the day or supper. The main vineyards (Ysios, Marques de Riscal, Muga, CVNE, etc.) are all of a 10 to 15-minute drive from this hotel. We will miss the terrace overlooking the river and vineyards hill from this property. We could not have asked for a better stay in La Rioja. We will certainly be back and extend our thanks to the Palacio Tondon team for their care.

Palacio Tondon is an absolute gem of a hotel. Gorgeous stone walls, sleek modern glass, fabulous food, classy relaxing areas including a spectacular riverside terrace, and of course beautiful rooms.
Brinas is a lovely village, and the walk along the river to Haro is really pleasant too.
I couldn’t recommend the hotel highly enough.

Went a year ago and we loved this hotel.. the food in their restaurant is excellent!

We arrived for a coffee, they were able to accommodate us even before the bar was open.

Palacio Tondon is a diamond. The hotel and restaurant are superb - serene, comfortable, clean, and beautiful - but the service is what sets this hotel apart. Raul, Ioanna, Isabella, and Cristian went above and beyond for us, ensuring that everything was to our liking, we were comfortable, and went out of their way to arrange visits to nearby wineries during our multi-day stay. When the Wi-Fi in our room unexpectedly went out, they arranged for it to be replaced within hours. We were so impressed with the service and agree that it is of the highest quality - not just in Spain, but in Europe and worldwide. We cannot wait to visit La Rioja again and we would only ever stay at Palacio Tondon.
