Parador de Lorca

This is a beautiful place to stay. Great hotel, great rooms, great food. Bring some money, it's not for free, though not as expensive as one would imagine. The hotel has a small swimming pool and a -paid - spa. It is a perfect place to relax a few days. During summer, the terrace is great, with great views over half of the Murcia province.

Lovely hotel, super clean rooms and excellent restaurants (one silver service and one that they call a cafeteria and is more bar meals). The rooms are a great size and well appointed with Parador products. There is also a mini bar. The hotel has an indoor pool which is free to use and a spa for which there are charges. The hotel is built within the well preserved ruins of Lorca Castle. The only disappointment was the hotel not having an outdoor pool or sun terrace but otherwise we had a great 3 day stay. Thoroughly recommend as a base for exploring this part of Spain.

We stopped here for lunch before visiting the castle and liked it so much we decided to stay for the night. The building is spectacular and steeped in history. The design of both the exterior and interior is fabulous. The furnishings and decor in the communal areas are lovely. We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and would highly recommend eating there. The only draw back is you have to drive into Lorca but the views more than make up for this. The pool area is indoors and is a bit tired but well maintained. We had some spa treatments which were good value. Will definitely return and recommend.

By far one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in, inside and out. An excellent location with stunning views. Very reasonably priced for the standard of room (we had a double room and it was a great size with quality interior). The air-conditioning in our room worked perfectly. The bar was comfortable and relaxed and they offered a varied selection of beers with complementary crisps. The staff were very friendly.

I loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable. the bathrooms were large as was the shower. The pool was nice. The Restaurant was good with interesting views of the ruins. Our view from the room was amazing. The grounds make you realize you are walking around in a very historical place. I would stay again.

The rooftop is wonderful. The views are incredible and the place very comfortable. In my opinion the best when you arrive at a bar is the staff’s behavior. In this case I would want to remark the kindness of Alberto Martinez; a wonderful waitress with a open actitud. He is very professionalism. I feel lucky to discover people in this way.

Definitely worth the stay. Breakfast and staff were wonderful. However, the drive up is a tad confusing and a bit harrowing. Be prepared and don't drive so fast that you miss the necessary turns.

The Parador of Lorca is an amazing place. A newly built hotel on the site of an ancient Moorish castle and ruined synagogue it is built in sympathetic style to it surroundings perfectly. One could describe Lorca as a archeological hotel. The hotel has integrated the archeological remains into and around the hotel build. This can only be fully appreciated by being and staying here. The hotel also has a pool, spa, restaurant, bar and terrace with amazing views of the countryside. As always the Paradors food, rooms, staff and service are amazing!!! A truely unique holiday experience in an often undiscovered part of Spain. Oh...and the town of Lorca has some pretty wonderful things to see as well!!!

Very nice hotel with a SPA. Is located on a big rock so it has a nice view over the city. Went there for a massage and everything was clean and good. Staff is friendly and helpful. The bar/restaurant was very nice. Prices a little higher, but the quality speaks for itself.

I loved the days I spent there. The hotel is completely awesome, the rooms are in prefect conditions and the service is good. Moreover we were able to enjoy a night in their terrace looking to the stars. A recommendable experience.

The location of the Parador is excellent, perched high on the hill next to Lorca castle with spectacular views. The room, staff and facilities were great and there is plenty of parking. The only negative is that you cannot really walk into Lorca however it is only a short taxi ride into the old town. We will return.

Only stopped for lunch but will be back to stay soon. The food and service are first rate, location and views too. A timeless jewel and great base to explore from by car.

Had a lovely stay, big rooms great food, good staff and excellent value would stay again. Also lovely walks up into the adjacent hills. Pool also good.

It's a nice place to stay a few days to visit Lorca and The castle of sun. The hotel , rooms and staff are amazing .Having the lunch or dinner in Helio"s restaurant was a great experience so the dishes are delicious but the best for us were his desserts . 🍾🍰🍸

A lovely location and a revisit 12 months on. The restaurant Marmitia at Parador de Lorca does not disappoint. Good menu and choice the food was enjoyable. Splendid views and friendly staff completed the evening nicely.

Tranquil retreat atop a rock outcrop. Very historical site. Sometimes free guided tours are provided. Great staff. Suites add a touch of luxury.
