Lovely place to visit and amazing views from there. We drove up to the castle up some steep roads. Parking just outside the castle is free. There are 3 routes you can walk around the outside. We did the middle one which was an easy 2 kilometers around tge outside of the castle and walked looking at the amazing views below. We then walked up to the castle itself and were pleasantly surprised to find that its free to walk around the grounds of the castle. There was an old war catapult and a Canon and plenty of signs about the history of the place. It also had a cafe and toilets in the grounds. It was a great day out.

Very interesting castle with great views over the surrounding countryside. Recent excavations have uncovered a Jewish settlement and synagogue. Well worth a visit.

What an historic place. With views forever. Well maintained and watch out as the tower and other buildings only open at certain times of the day. Gardens and cafe free to visit. Don't miss this outstanding place.

Good castle. Absolutely huge. quite interesting with good info available.
its a really nice place and you can spend several hours here.
its 10 euros a person to visit the extra bits (like the synagogue).
There's a cafe here. I noticed that they found seats for Spanish visitors ahead of the English people who were ahead if the in the queue. so be prepared to wait to be seated if you're obviously English.
Good for kids too

Impressiv medieval fortress.
One of the largest in Spain.
Stunning views. Friendly staff. Walk along the ramparts is free of charge. Entry fee for the towers and other attractions. Café inside.
Parador Hotel inside the historic site. One of the top attractions in the region of Murcia. Recommended!

If you like historical buildings (like I do), this is a really good place to visit. Loads of information and things to see so you need quite a few hours to get around everything (I didn't manage it). Very helpful staff and caters for tourists very well (suggest you use one of the translation machines they have on offer).

Incredible place, pictures do not give it justice... 6 euros per person to walk around the grounds. Cost more to enter the main castle bit. There's a free audio guide app that gives a bit of insight and history on different parts of the castle. Definitely consider checking this out if you're in the area.

Quite amazing place. It is a castle on top of a hill. You are stuck there like there is a siège. Nothing else to do. But....there is ambiance and the dining room has awesome views. Take the half board cause there is nowhere else to eat.

This was a great place, the history lesson was great, seeing the ruins of the Jewish Temple, under excavation was worth it. The cafe in the fortress was tasty. I would go and visit again if I get the chance. the views from the top of the towers were inspiring.

Very nice castle with English and Spanish signs, beautifully restored and preserved exhibits and grounds. Definitely download the travel.izi app for thre audio tour. It will easily take 2 hours to see the castle without the additional guided tours. There is a small gift shop and snack shop for a rest. Stunning views. Worth the trip from Caravaca.
