Fantastic luxury castle with good facilities like restaurant, swimming pool and gardens. The restaurant had good food and the view to outside was verry nice. Located in a quiet environment with a lot of nature and a golf resort. Breakfast served with attention for quality. Friendly staff. We were lucky to get an upgrade to a suite, this was a big and nice suite. Almost everything was perfect, except some possibilities to have a drink with a small bite in the bar.

I must say that staying at this hotel was a great experience. Rooms and service were first class with the flavor of an old convent based on it's decor. Outside the city of Antequera among planted olive trees complementing the breathtaking scenery makes it a delight.

Amazing location great service nice spa... but... unforgettable amazing great food! Definitely a foodie must stop.

We booked another hotel from same chain in Antequera and were transferred to this place due to covid. It’s 15 minutes drive outside of Antequera, but totally worth it.
It’s a very quiet, isolated, beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and with its own long history.
We loved exploring buildings in the evening, it was like traveling into the past or visiting a museum.
Classic music is playing everywhere and it gives even more relaxing feeling to it.
Breakfast was good.
Even though spa was closed we had great time in the pool and jacuzzi.

Room on the ground floor have access to gardens where you can find fruits and vegetables growing.

It was a pleasant change and we would definitely recommend it.

Firstly, this hotel is full of character. It has maintained much from its original, such as the internal courtyard, stairways, cellars, etc. The bedroom s are very comfortable and full of character also. The location is superb, overlooking olive groves, hills and rocky mountains not far away. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and it does an excellent breakfast. It is not in any way a pretentious or "stuffy" hotel. It is an excellent location to relax, unwind and explore the fantastic Andalusia. It may not be your typical 5* but because of its character, location, views and general ambiance it deserves its luxury status.

The venue is just beautiful.Such a picturesque place, have been here to attend a function. Would defend recommend.

Beautiful hotel with amazing scenery. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Spa facilities are nice after a hike in the local mountains. Large shower and jacuzzi bath.

I surprised my family with an over night stay here for my husband and I's, 25th wedding anniversary and we wasn't dissapointed at all. The staff on arrival where courtesy and helped us settle into our celebrations easily.
Our evening meal was highly rated and again the service and food was 2nd to none. The rooms for our overnight stay where perfect for us all
When my family are happy I am happy, was everything I wanted it to be and more. Thank you

Being a 5 star hotel I'm looking for faults.... but I couldn't find any!! The staff were wonderful and helpful, bedding was comfy, everything works as it should.

If you are anywhere nearby, stay here. Great hotel, great spa, enjoyed the restaurant. Easy to understand their 5* rating.

The most stunning views!!! Recently celebrated a destination wedding and I can't wait to return to the relaxing villa.

Beautiful hotel with immaculate grounds in gorgeous surroundings, still retaining some of the old features from when it was a convent. Lovely place for a special occasion, for a meal or even a coffee and a sandwich

Very peaceful, lovely room with small outside sitting area , staff very efficient. Restaurant very reasonable with menu inspired by David munz.

We visited the Magdalena 4years ago and it was poor service .the food average looking a little tired .now much better . service.. food and decor much higher standard.. really enjoyed it.
