El Minibar

This gem is hidden away on the corner of the street in the basement and doesn't look anything as good as it tastes! The manager spoke limited English but was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating to all food and drink requests. He gave good recommendations and even a little something on the house! The tapas were all flavoursome and unique in it's taste and well priced. I would definitely go back again!

Really enjoyed my meal here! I had the seared tuna and the duck leg, they were both so tasty. I also ordered a mojito which wasn’t too sweet or too tart, it was perfectly refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back!

After arriving in town hungry and reading reviews, we stopped here for (early) dinner, so did not have to wait. It's so comfy and cozy, unpretentious, a few steps down into the basement, and absolutely delicious! The Goat Cheese plate that people rave about was amazing as well as the Crispy Boar Rolls with Portobello Mushroom Sauce- melt in your mouth. My husband wanted to nibble on chicken strips (yes we are American!) and wow, they were hot, tender, and juicy with 3 dipping sauces. Plus tuna salad on toast with our drinks for free starters. And the prices were quite reasonable. A Definite Winner!

Ordered three tapas and a sangria - all of them are flawless.

The atmosphere of the bar is super cozy - thanks to the hospitality of the waitress, lovely tables, and smooth serving flow. Dining here is the highlight of my Madrid trip.

Visited this tapas bar on our first night in Madrid - what a great find! Excellent food and very fast service. Had to wait a bit for a table but so worth it. Recommend the crispy boar roll and the Tapa Breton!

What an amazing place! The atmosphere is delicious, the staff was very pleasant and gave us amazing recommendations… the food, I have no words to describe how good the food was! If you go there, please order goats cheese with tomato jam. Best thing I’ve ever eaten!

Delicious food… tapa portion is really good. Sangria is just amazing…very fast service and friendly staff. Ambience is great and quirky.. I would definitely recommend eating here… we ordered 5 dish and drinks and was less than 50€.

What a casual gem! Loved how easy-going the atmosphere is here. We got a table for dinner right away, even though the place was really busy. Food was lovely - classic tapas, very friendly prices. Get the duck confit with prune sauce - it was an absolute highlight.

My family with 3 kids went for lunch. We ordered the shrimp with cod, the tataki, the duck confit, tuna tartar, and goat cheese dish. All the food was really good!

A great spot we saw on our first day in Madrid. Happy we had a chance to eat here. Service is fast here and the staff was great. We were seated in an almost empty restaurant around 3 pm on a Thursday and the place was full within 20 minutes. The grilled goat cheese was amazing and the texture changed with every bite as it went from hot to cool. Cod with garlic shrimp was delicious and the cod was super flaky. The bread was perfect for soaking up the leftover olive oil. The crispy boar rolls were amazing along with the portobello mushroom sauce. The squid strips were lightly fried and very tender. The cheesecake is a must. Very dense/gritty texture and less sweet than what I’ve had in the US. Incredible food from beginning to end.

This is a really cool spot and has so many great options to snack or to combine for a truly satisfying meal. Try the eggplant, our favorite of the night. Everything we tried was excellent to include our quite unique cheesecake dessert which was like a cross between cheesecake and flan. Yummy.

Tourist here, this is easily one of the best place i dined in Spain. The grilled goat cheese is to die for. I find myself thinking about this dish the next day and I have to go back again! Cod with scrimps is good too, interesting place and tables. Friendly staff!

We had calamari, tacos, cod with shrimp, chicken with three dips and cheesecake. All of the main food was delicious but the cheesecake was a distinct flavour, however, the texture was perfect. The tapas serving size was generous. The service was incredible. I would recommend making a reservation as the place was busy and a lot of people were turned away. This place is worth a visit, quality food, quality service and a decent price.

Loved the tapas here and good sangria too! Cheap beer. We had the grilled goats cheese, the fried cod, and the boiled wrinkled potatoes. We went at 5.30pm and already some dishes were sold out so might be better around lunch time!

It was the best food in whole Spain.

Fantastic place! Everything was great! The fried cheese appetizer is to die for. Careful it comes very hot, staff was super friendly, fit us in without a reservation, thanks for everything!!

A quaint little restaurant in Madrid, Spain. It's a hidden gem! They bring out free tapas with your drinks. We also ordered other tapas. My favorite was cod fish with shrimp. The fish was succulent, flavorful and simply delicious! I gave 4 out of 5 stars for service only because we thought service was a little slow but honestly, I think as Americans we expect faster service so it might just be a cultural thing.

We entered the bar, and they show us a table to sit.
The first thing they served was a bottle of water with 2 glasses.
Since we are tourists in Madrid and we spent the entire morning walking in the sun, we started drinking right away. 😅
They didn't charge us for the water.

The ambience is amazing and the employees very polite.

A hidden gem in an alley 5 min walk from the palace. One of the best tapas place I’ve been and definitely deserves 5-star rating! Excellent food and services, and May I say I had the best bread ever too (had three loafs of them!) would recommend cod & garlic shrimp, crispy boar and grilled cheese. Love the vibe too.

The best tapas bar in Madrid. Amazing food and equally amazing warm service. I ate here three nights in a roll before heading to Barcelona and Portugal. This place gets busy and energetic because the food and the pricess is just right. I highly recommend you come to this place and enjoy with friends and family when visiting Madrid.
