Spanish friends suggested me this place. They suggested me really well!

The prices are low, because is not a restaurant, is more a casual bar with kitchen. The tortilla is really good and they make many varieties, as well as the croquetas.

Classic tortilla was seasoned perfectly, more flavour than the one with truffle, cheese and ham. The mushroom and truffle croquettes were delicious. Nice beers too

The following is purely subjective

Pez tortilla certainly has made its name in Madrid, and well loved by thousands who are fans of a more liquid center and a good time.

To me, the tortillas are outstanding as I do love a liquid center. I do think it’s a bit overpriced and overrated. The tortillas are good, and people should try it. But I honestly think a lot of other shops around also serve good tortillas that don’t need you to wait for that long. The lines at this place is atrocious, so if you don’t mind, pop over to cara B that’s 100m away from this store. It’s the same shop. Either way, this place is so famous that there’s always a line and it’s always, ALWAYS, crowded. I guess it’s a burden to bear when you are so famous and everyone loves your tortilla.

Anyways, if you are a tourist, I’d recommend going to this place and give it a try. But if you are also antisocial and hate crowds, do avoid this place as the place will quite literally suffocate you.

Ending on a positive note: great tortilla and very fairly priced drinks!

Had a runny tortilla española with onion and Jamon croquettes. The tortilla was a really delicious, simple omelet while the croquettes were intensely cheesy and creamy. Fun vibe and nice drink selection as well. Prices were very reasonable and portions are just right.

Arrived when it opened and had no wait time. Tortilla y Croquetas con cerveza - very good!

I could eat this everyday!!!! Affordable prices and they use quality ingredients. €3.90 for their brie truffle and Jamon tortilla. Service is fast and they make them fresh so it’s nice and warm when you eat it. Definitely coming back when I’m in Madrid again. :)

If you have the opportunity to order, be sure to order two portions due to crowd. Because you won't be able to get enough of it.

Stopped there twice for an afternoon snack (on local friends' advice). We tried 3 style of tortillas and some croquettes as well as some vermouth (which came with a small bowl of very good olives).
Very good food, at a great price and in good quantities.

Amazing, vibrant atmosphere with loud music and lots of life! Definitely not the place for a quiet meal, but if you are up for some fun then it’s perfect! The tortilla was TO DIE FOR. This is what true tortilla should be like! We went back 3 more times on our trip because it was so amazing. The truffle croqueta is also the star of the show - so, so soft and bursting with flavour. This place is such a gem.

Incredible place. Especially for those who appreciate good craft beers and tortillas.

What else is left unsaid of this bar. It’s one of Madrid’s best tortilla places! Try the classic (con cebolla) and also my top favorites: the trufa con jamón, and the queso de cabra con cebolla caramelizada. It can get really crowded on weekends and peak dining hours, so best schedule your visit.

It is pretty popular and sitting is limited.

They also offer some of the local craft beer.
La Virgen is pretty good and highly recommended.

Great tortilla in Madrid. A pincho is €3.7. I got the goats cheese, spinach and caramelised onion Pincho and it was really good. I'd recommend going a bit before lunch time as it gets very crowded in the restaurant and there's only a few tables

The Spanish omelettes here are a dream! We had the ones with parmesan/truffle and brie. Both were extremely delicious. Also good portions and very reasonably priced. Since it's self service and the place is very popular, you definitely need to fight a bit for the attention of the waiters and to find a table, but you won't be disappointed.
Wine was tasty too :)

Went in for a snack and eventually stayed for a full meal. One of the best tortillas in Madrid 👌🏽 it’s an order and stand at the bar kind of place. The earlier u are there the more space u will have. There’s only 1-2 staff members to serve so keep this is mind when it’s busy. Don’t forget to tip the staff :)

So that next time we come we'll be able to get a table, get gorgeous, very cheap (for the area) Tapas and drinks, soak up the atmosphere blissfully unaware of what ANY of the conversations are about, and loving it all.
Will have made an effort to learn some Spanish next time so that don't have to rely on Google Translate to help with the blackboard list of wonderfully diverse Tortillas.
They could have filled the place 10 times over by the amount of people who arrived at the door and turned away as it was full.
If that's not proof enough how good it is, nothing is.

Best tortilla in Madrid (maybe on Earth?) You can have the classic Spanish tortilla, plus some cool combinations like parmesan cheese and tomato, brie and ham, etc.

The place is small but the service is really fast. If there are no tables available, you can eat at the bar. Super friendly staff!

Delicious tortillas surrounded by locals in a crowded cozy spot. Eating standing up or sitting on a bar stool, very nice experience.

Try the croquettes with mushrooms and truffles.
