The best place to try loca food! The service is great, very friendly. Sangria and patatas bravas are the best in Madrid! Maybe you will need to wait a bit in the line but believe me it’s worth it! I can fully recommend this place!

My Uber driver recommended I try this place and order patatas bravas, a local Madrid speciality. The sauce makes the dish. A tangy hot sauce with just a slight hit of heat. Order a Caña to go with it (a small cold draft beer).

The serving was too large for me so I ate what I could as I had other tapas I wanted to try.

Hint from the driver… Go slightly before they open in the evening and get in line, you will get a great table and they will serve you quickly.

All the food is amazing! Loved the patatas bravas in aioli sauce, the pinchos and the tapas. Authentic food and good price. The prices change between diner and the terrace.

I needed to eat a local dish before I left Madrid and this restaurant popped up when I searched for Patatas Bravas.

The reviews I saw online were good, so I decided to check it out.

If there's an award for speed, then Las Bravas gets it.

Your order gets to your table within minutes of placing it, and empty plates are whisked off your table in the blink of na eye. 😅

It's a nice and affordable restaurant and if your really famished, then this is the place to go, as you won't be kept hungry for long ☺.

Nice place for the potatoes. They are super fast to get your order and bring you the food. A good place to relax for a while or for a quick bite and go. Great food and good wine options.

Nice tapas bar at the center of Madrid.

Very good beer and they had whole selections of seafood as kebabs and canapes.

Great for the quick bites.

Just a tip: I didn't like it that they charged more for outside tables. Teh menu price is different for inside tables and outside tables.

My friends and I were looking for a place to eat in Madrid, and we came across Las Bravas, a small tapas bar located in Pje. de Mathéu. We had seen long lines at two of their other locations the night before, but we decided to give this one a try.

We were glad we did! The food was amazing. We started with the patatas bravas, which were perfectly cooked and topped with a delicious, flavorful brava sauce. We also had the oreja en salsa, which was tender and flavorful, and the boquerones in vinegar, which were refreshing and light. We also shared the calamar de potera, which was cooked perfectly and had a crispy exterior.

The service was also excellent. Our waiter, Ren, was very friendly and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and recommended some great dishes.

We all had a wonderful dining experience at Las Bravas. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Madrid.

PS. Don't mind the long lines. It is truly worth it!

The food was good, the service fast. The places its not particularly pretty but you go for the food not for the looks.

When in Madrid you shouldn’t miss a good racion of Bravas, the real stuff ( no spicy tomato but a paprika based sauce). Las Bravas is one of those mythical places in Madrid to try bravas with a beer or a glass of wine. They also sell the sauce for takeaway. Friendly and professional staff.

We were walking to get to the Sunday Flea market but gave up after the Spanish heat gave us a good battering. Sweaty and weak and in need of some energy I asked 'El Google' for a Tapas restaurant. A number of results appeared and out of them LB stood out. We walked a lengthy 0.1 miles and stumbled into the restaurant. The waiter showed us to a table promptly. The menu was simple and read in Spanish and English. With help from one of the lovely waitresses we ordered Potatas Bravas with spicy sauce and garlic sauce, calamari, mushroom omelette and gambas. The food is cooked seperate for the vege/pescatarian peeps. The calamari portion was good, from the smell you can tell it was fresh and tasted fresh as well. The potato's were crispy outside and super soft inside. The garlic sauce was superb. The gambas was brilliant, kids devoured them pronto. The omelette was too much food, we realised our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Everything was excellent. This is hidden away on a side road, needs a visit if you're local.

The signature sauce was fantastic, definitely the most convenient place to try the Spanish tortilla!

Bravas potatoes cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, sauce was nice with a hint of spice. For one person they were too many (depending on how greedy you are), better to share them

This emblematic bar in the center of Madrid bustles with locals and visitors. "Patatas bravas" are the dish of choice on the menu of classic tapas, all of which provide for a quick, small bite or a more extensive meal. The indoor space is updated and comfortable.

Best Bravas in Madrid.
Must visit for any tourist, considering how close it is to Sol station.
Portions are decently sized. The “pimientos de padrón” are very tasty and the squid as well.
Besides, just in front of Las Bravas you will find the mirrors of Valle-Inclán; the famous mirrors of the writer’s “El Esperpento”.

Very glad I visited this place! It was busy when I arrived but I got given a table straight away. They're a popular establishment and so they run an efficient (and quick) service, but despite that I didn't feel rushed. My beer order was taken as soon as I arrived and my patatas bravas order was taken very soon after. Some people only order the patatas bravas (in which case they may feel rushed to leave after those) but I also fancied some croquettes so ordered that a bit later. The price was very reasonable compared to other places and I'd definitely consider going back. If you're looking for a fairly quick bite to eat then this place is great. If you're looking for a place to chill and order at leisure then you'd be better off elsewhere, or visiting during less busy hours.

A definitely should go to if you're in Madrid and want to eat the traditional Patatas Bravas, very nice tapas place and the staff is very friendly, a nice tip to avoid long queue time is to appear there a bit before the normal time to eat lunch or dinner!

There are three types of reviewer for this place: (a) Spaniards that love it, (b) Spaniards that complain about prices, (c) foreigners that just don’t understand what they are getting themselves into. This review is for the foreign tourists that are thinking of coming here. (1) The food is excellent; you might not like it but the brava sauce is the real deal and the place is popular because the food is good. (2) The service is efficient. Just because you don’t understand how it works nor the language doesn’t mean the waiters are rude. They’re actually friendly, it’s just hard to tell amongst the chaos. (3) prices are good. Try ordering the same thing in Plaza Santa Ana for example and you’ll see why. So…come with an open mind, ready to be confused by an authentic Madrileño dining experience, and if you’re lucky enough to figure out how to get a table, order the bravas, oreja, gambas al ajillo and pimentos de padrón. Buena suerte.
