The tastiest seafood tapas we had! Definitely I would recommend if you like seafood. The place is very traditional and the food was bursting with flavour.

Read the reviews, and tried this very popular place on a sat night. Waited for a table, got a stand up counter... And the Atmosphere was buzzing, service efficient and quick, and in English too.

As a foodie, I know my Seafood... This was fresh, value for Money and an awesome experience, not comparable to other run of mill tapas bars.

Love love love this place!
This was not priority on our list but we just happened to pass by while walking towards the metro stop, and we were hungry, so we queued.
Soon enough we were standing at the bar, cerveca in one hand and an oyster in the other!
The ambiance here is dynamic, the aervice quick, the food amazing.
The softest shrimp a la plancha i ever had! Fresh oysters, boquerones and anchovies with vinegar on a fresh tomato salad was a killer, the Cigales (langoustines) were pricey and not much meat on them (although really good), would have preferred another round of gambas! But overall, had the best seafood in madrid right there.
The people behind the counter work fast and deliver the goods. The space is all standing, crowded, elbow to elbow and it was an amazing experience.

Most incredible fish place you will find in Madrid. The prices were quite shockingly affordable too. Really simple and fresh. If you’re a seafood fan, don’t miss it! The waiter was a bit forgetful and didn’t pay too much attention but the food is worth it anyway

Visited El Boqueron tonight. Oh my goodness!! Everyone who lives in or visits Madrid should visit this absolute gem. We had gambas a la plancha, boquerones, and the tomato salad. We also had some beer. All in €29. Wow!!

I LOVED this place. It’s less than 5 min from the Lavapies metro station. Fresh seafood. The gambas a la plancha were the best I’ve had. I loved their boquerones en vinagre. Great house vermouth! It was my 1st meal in Madrid and it was a memorable one.

The sea food here is very fresh and tasty we ordered shrimp and oyster. The shrimp is very juicy and sweat. The oyster had a smell of the ocean, full with fresh salty favor, and it combine different textures. Highly recommend anyone comes and enjoy the meal here!

A real gem! We had a late lunch after visiting the museum. Us 5 were seated right away. All seafood ordered were so fresh, it's like we were scrapping directly from the ocean floor! Try the langostinos and langostinos (pan seared cod fish)...heavenly!

Great seafood tapas bar that serves delicious oysters, grilled prawns and other delicious morsels. Only a quick metro from Sol and away from tourists - felt the real deal. Favourite place in Madrid

A local place with local tastes. This small restaurant serves fresh seafood. Oysters, prawns, fish (hake) were all delicious. You may need to rezerv table beforehands. Enjoy

This place is a bar with great fresh seafood. It’s great bar food, you’re not there for a fine dining ambiance or experience. Not cheap $$$..There are only a few spare tables on the back of bar, otherwise you’ll eat and drink on your feet.

Such a great place. The food is great and the service even better. They were packed but found time to seat us and make sure we were comfortable and well fed. The seafood was super fresh and our simple salad was chock full of fresh, delicious tomatoes. It’s a must do in Lavapies, Madrid.

Hidden gem! Can’t get any more authentic. The Barkeeper at our hotel recommended this place. It did bit disappoint!

We needed to wait 50min (around 2:30pm on Saturday) to get a standing table but it was definitely worth it! Seafood is amazing and I recommend everything I tried - shrimps, oysters, anchois salad, white wine, and wermuth! The place is quite small and very noisy but full of positive vibe! I will definitely get back here

If you wanted to eat fresh out the sea this is your restaurant.

It was my first time trying oysters. I feel like they fish it out just in time for me. 😋

In the colourful chaos of multicultural Lavapiés lies a traditional Madrid institution with the best seafood in the barrio.

The Andalusian-style tiles on the walls were hand-painted and made in Spain’s famous ceramics town of Talavera de la Reina, a tiny riverside town in the region of Toledo. The next thing you’ll fail to miss are the crabs displayed on ice – a rare thing to see in Madrid as normally the seafood is kept in a freezer in the back kitchen, and while we’re on: have you ever seen crabs sold fresh in a bar in Madrid? A plancha (griddle) is also front of house, so when you order a ración of seafood by pointing at it on ice, you can watch it get weighed on old-fashioned dial scales, then thrown onto the grill run by owner Pablo, and served up to you within minutes. Fresh, live oysters are also sold here and cost only a fraction above market price.
