Another great spot in Madrid for a fast bite! I got tortilla and churros con chocolate. Those two simply cannot go wrong! The place is cosy and the atmosphere the is nice. If you pass this place I would recommend to go inside and enjoy the food!

One of my favourite restaurants in all of Madrid.

It never disappoints.

I highly recommended you try the “huevos estrellados” — it is a heavenly delight to the palate. Divine simplicity.

Make sure you make a reservation well in advance. You even have to queue to get in even if you have a reservation. It’s that good.

My favorite traditional Spanish restaurant in Madrid. I would always visit during my work and personal trips to Madrid (except in August that they close for the full month). Great food and friendly service. Make sure you have a reservation well in advance. It is on the pricey side but worth the investment. Huevos Rotos are a most, Iberian Ham, braised oxtail is amazing, cochinillo (piglet) also great, Caldo Madrileño also great. House wine is decent but they also have a lot of options at different price ranges. The owner, Don Lucio is always there (he is 90!!) as well as 2 of his children making sure quality and service are to the highest standards. Chema at the bar is a master cutting Iberian ham and a great person to talk to. Overall an all around solid place!!

Cozy, warm, and delicious. Local friends recommended it to us and it was wonderful. The churrasco is amazing.

My place to visit every time in Madrid, love that the staff has been there for years so they can recommend and guide you to try different things on the menu beside the huevos estrellados (which are fantastic).

Recommended by a vs taxi driver, Casa Lucio is very popular with the locals. I was surprised to see Lucio, the original owner coming in to have an afternoon meal. He was very unassuming, had a nice smile for me when I asked if I could take his picture. The food was very good, the wine list was extensive, and with a good range of prices to accommodate a verity of palates. We asked for a local not to pricey bottle, and our waiter recommended our waiter was a local tempranillo, for only €21 euros. It was very good. Of course one could have picked a €100, or higher bottle. But, this one did the trick for us, and had a second bottle. Casa Lucio's menu was extensive, and very popular with the local clientele. Reservations are a must.

One of the very best traditional places to eat in Madrid, Daniel, our waiter was wonderful and the food to die for, it is real traditional food like my grandmother used to make. You shouldn’t miss this, make reservations beforehand.

Very delicious food. But you really need to reserve your table upfront as the most of the time it’s booked out.

Great place! We really love the waiter which was very helpful, even though we didn’t speak English. She introduce us to crema de orujo, which is amazing liquor! Gracias!
We had gazpacho and lamb, there were very good. You have plenty of wine too choose to your dinner. Interior looks nice also. You may need a reservation to get a table here.

This is the local restaurant every tourists should visit. The owner has the most creative dish I ever had. Very delicious. I enjoy it very much.
I ordered a tapas the octopus one. And I was going to order a 2nd one. But the owner told me that the dish I ordered was big already. So I don’t need to order others. So I had a white wine go with the tapas.
One good thing I would like to talked about is that the owner treats every his customers as friends, or he wouldn’t stop me order more dish, cuz he can make more money.

We had 1 night in Madrid and wanted a nice dinner. Casa Lucio was more than a nice dinner, it was an unforgettable experience. We did not have reservations and the restaurant was packed. They made room for us at the bar and from that point on it was amazing! Our bartender took care of us, recommended the best wines, food, and kept us happy. We had the best steak we had ever tasted. They gave us a delicious cheese to end the meal. Our bartender paired each food with the best wine. But what we loved most was the family environment, everyone seemed to know each other or were related and we felt like part of the family. Lucio even came out to meet us! We want to go back someday!

We were lucky to have some Spanish friends take us here so they knew what to order. We had a huge variety of different dishes and they were all lovely. We had a few bottles of Rioja to complement it! Highly recommend!

Food is really good, the first day I just try the shell fish soup and it is the best soup I had, went back next day and the grilled sole is equally amazing, manager Havier is very friendly to us since we do not speak too much Spanish.

A lot of people suggested this restaurant and they were right! We had a great experience. I’ll suggest you order a few plates to share so you can taste a little bit of everything. The Fabada was delicious!

Amazing!! the food, the restaurant leaves you with a great taste of Madrid.
A must try is Huevos Rotos, cochinillo y pan perdido for dessert. Not expensive at all, it is totally worth it.
