A very big thank you to all the friendly and kind owners and staff of this traditional restaurant in the beautiful town of Tarbena. Everyone went out of their way to prepare a delicious 3 course meal to takeaway so my chronically ill wife could also enjoy it, as she was unable to get to the restaurant. They do not normally provide take out meals but they very kindly did on this occasion, it was all presented beautifully and was very delicious and freshly cooked with wonderful ingredients, the Paella was incredible! It was a highlight of our trip to Spain and we will definitely return. Thank you all again!

Everything was amazing, the food was unreal, it was definitely melting in my mouth. Very nice service, super nice owners. A beautiful place to have lunch or even dinner, will definitely come back when visiting spain again. Also we got a present on the way out, a homemade red wine, it was really an amazing surprise !! thanks a lot

A brilliant find, tucked away in a small village. The owner +and family)? and all the locals we met were most welcoming.

Fantastic service from this family run restaurant. We went there for a menu del dia and it was delicious and so many courses of local food. Couldn't recommend enough!

Took a mountain road drive and came across the tiny mountainside village of Tarbena.
The scenery leading up to the village is breathtaking.
Decided to stop somewhere for a 'quick bite' to eat.
Beware!!!! No where in rural Spain is it possible or even polite to have a 'quick bite'.
Us Brits really need to slow down sometimes.
Well we were seated by friendly staff and the chef himself came to talk to us.
"No Paella. It's impossible... " he said. "Never mind we have pork and lamb and so much good food"
We had Wine, lager, bread with garlic paste, a kind of sweet chewy starter to dip the bread in, we also had a nice Greek salad, I had leg of lamb and wife had pork chops. All served with Mediterranean roasted veg and a massive bottle of ice cold water.... all for 43Euros.
Absolutely everything we were served was perfection, first class, home cooking at its best.

We are going there every time when we are here and it is always (no exception after about 10 visits) very very good. The food is not fancy but very "honest" and good in taste. The owners must work day and night and this one can feel. Passionate and very friendly. A clear GO!

Stopped off for a drink when we were exploring Taberna. I had a coke and my friend asked for a tonic water, she was given a lovely cold bottle of Schweppes tonic water. We thought that was classy as we'd expected a Casera or something similar. We didn't eat but the open kitchen looked and smelled fantastic. Definitely looked like a good place to eat and had a distinct traditional feel about the place.

Tarbena a beautiful Spanish town and there are many restaurants to try but this is a favourite of ours. Excellent service. Salads are amazing and you will have the best day out.

Excellent meal, muy bien, especially the sausages in honey and the leg of lamb.

Local bar/restaurant.in the village of Tarbena, Costa blanca. This is the son of the famous/infamous casa Pinet. Which was so popular in the village until he retired. I was there last Sunday and had a very good roast leg of lamb with accompanying vegetables and potatoes. The restaurant is very traditional, with an open kitchen so you see all that is going on.
