Very charming “casa de campo”. On our “way to Santiago” we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The grounds are like walking around a 1600’s house tastefully landscaped and with an amazing back yard. The house itself is beautifully appointed and our room and private bathroom were spotless. The food….ah the food…. AMAZING 3 course meal with very good vino Albariño (local white wine”. Service was top notch. We had an amazing “codo de cerdo” Pig’s elbow. Trust me, delicious, don’t be put off by the name. A definite 5 star recommendation and locally it would be 3 stars. Best meal, so far, of our trip. BTW we also had an amazing foot massage at Casa Brandariz

We stayed here during our Camino de Santiago, on our way from Arzua to Salceda. Gracious farm house away from Arzua town, lovely atmosphere and amazing food..(little bit pricey...). CARMEN was the best, our host for lunch and took care of amenities in the room...

☹ Only negative: we stayed here in late October, rainy cold fall season and there is no heat in the rooms and no hot water ...grrrr

While this is a little off route from the Camino it is WELL worth it! This is an incredibly charming, well designed, and well appointed. The food and service was really nice. Would love to come again!

Amazing hotel though a bit of a drive outside of Arzua. Has a restaurant in the hotel, place was rustic and charming! Staff was helpful and friendly

Amazing place. Out of town so must arrange transport (was included in the Camino package) - The host was more than welcoming and made sure to put on a fabulous dinner. I was beyond full but the quality was top notch!

It feels like a castle and the rooms are cosy. Mine had a skylight which you could open and close for the light/stars. Breakfast is a little later than what you’d expect. And you may be itching to get back on the path but after the previous day of 30kms I was happy to sleep in a bit extra. Thanks again 🙏

Spectacular well maintained beautiful old stone house with tons of character. Our double room ("Grande") was quite nice and no one making noise above us, but from the reviews some others are pretty funky/cramped. Far from The Camino, so you need a transfer, but for us it was worth it. The room where dinner was served was huge and gorgeous, seating maybe 25 people; not sure what happened in some older reviews where they said the dining room was small. Dinner was tasty but limited in vegetarian options. They have now added screens to our room window so bugs weren't a problem like in some older reviews; slept with the window open to the Galician night and cool cool cool! Loved it, probably our favorite on the Camino, and would make it a priority to stay there again.

It is a beautiful building in a beautiful place. Nice people and the room is also very authenthic, nice and clean. I would go back to this place. I think I love the dog the most. 😍 I will add a picture of the view.

A charming spectacular house of the XVI century. Eduardo, Mari Carmen and everyone there made our stay extremely pleasant

This is a beautiful place. We came by taxi. It is a little far out. Worth the effort!

Well worth the visit. It is a 16th century country home, the ambience is ample trade off for every quirk, and there are a lot of quirks. Low ceilings, odd shaped rooms, stone passages, showers tucked in under the eaves, but historical charm, good food, fun hosts, including a little black puppy, make it a very fun stay. It was a cold stormy night, and I loved the fire area, complete with hams hanging in the smoke, just like they probably have in winter over the last 500 years.

I stayed here on my on my 37th (June 11) of 39 days walking the Camino. It was one of the best, if not the best, Inn I stayed throughout my whole Camino. The 500 year old farmhouse has been nicely turned into Hotel. Sheets are clean, rooms are nice and quaint and with character and the home cooked meal at night was certainly one of the best. Thanks to my hosts!

Nice hotel with very good food, the problem is because this is a very old building so you can hear when someone walking but the dinner was excellent, the staff was very friendly and helpful
