Lovely, happy entry. Original stone square from when it was a grain market. Several cafes with outside tables, a statue/fountain. It feels like a different city. Nicer than Plaza Mayor. To find it look for Santa Maria del Camino church (our tourist attraction map didn't clearly indicate the plaza).
Definitive worth a visit.

It is an old square, always like to visit when in Leon a bit quiet in the winter but good atmosphere there is a bar restaurant opposite the pilgrims hostel where they serve good food at reasonable prices.

Ah the romance. We finished off a week long 157k Camino walk here. A perfect spot to sit, drink, eat and chat about our travails.

A XIII century square in the village of León, place to relax taking good drinks and local cuisine.

This square was used as a market during the middle age and following centuries. It takes its named "grano" ("grain") because different cereals and other products where sold there. It is one of the few squares that keeps it's middle age cobblestone pavement.
