Museo Metro Chamartín

Nice place with old trains.

Located inside the paid area of the metro, near the platform for the 10 line, about 5 minutes walk from the train station. You need a reservation, which I made on the spot with my phone.

Beautiful restored subway trains from the original Madrid metro in the 1910s. Signs are in Spanish, but I found them fairly easy to interpret. They describe the history of the metro and the engineering that contributed to it.

The Chamartin Underground Station is one of the best stations in Madrid with connections to various metro lines and Renfe. I would say there are enough sufficient sign posts so that no one gets lost or confused and they are in english as well. There are lot of vending machines where one can buy various drinks and refreshments. A good number of officials are stationed there to whom we can make any inquiries if needed. If i missed out something please comment on it.

En la misma estación de metro de Chamartín están los trenes más antiguos.
Recuerdos y curiosidades de la niñez para muchos. Faltan trenes de los ochenta y noventa.Visita guiada bastante interesante. Si vas en otro medio de transporte tienes que pagar el billete de metro para poder acceder.

Muy interesante la expo. Las chicas que hacen el tour guiado son muy majas. Nada de fila, solo reservar (es gratis), llegar a la hora y disfrutar de la visita. Está dentro de la estación de metro, solo hay que seguir los carteles con precaución porque es fácil perderse en el laberinto de pasillos de esa estación.

Muy informativo el contenido, amén de lo curioso de ver trenes tan antiguos en perfecto estado.

Nos encantó la visita y conocer la historia del metro de Madrid y sus trenes históricos, la visita fué guiada y muy interesante, los trenes preciosos y bien conservados. Muy recomendable.
