Wonderful restaurant. Lots of locals go there in their celebrations and special days which makes it more trustworthy. Tourist friendly. They have the menu in English as well.
Some waiters speak fluent English.
Price is normal, they accept card payments. Same price for tourists so you won't feel like anyone is trying to trick you.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a local eatery Sobhy Kaber known for its authentic dishes, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was excellent, offering a delightful array of local favorites all prepared to perfection. Each dish was a treat, and the prices were incredibly affordable, making it a great value for money.

However, there was a bit of a language barrier with the waitstaff, which led to us ordering more dishes than we could handle. While this meant we got to sample a wide variety of their menu, unfortunately, it also resulted in quite a bit of food going to waste.
Despite this hiccup, the quality of the food more than made up for it. Every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to traditional recipes. If you’re looking to enjoy delicious local cuisine without breaking the bank, this place is definitely worth a visit.

It’s very popular among local people, which makes it look very trustable. However it doesn’t mean it only serves local people, in fact, the staff are very professional trained, and friendly to foreigner tourists too. (They have English menu, don’t worry)
The food was awesome, while the price was unbelievable good.

Such a crowded place on a Friday night!

This restaurant (which has already expanded to other countries in the Middle East), is one of the most famous restaurants in Cairo and you'll understand the reasons behind it. If I'm not mistaken, there are four floors.

The traditional Egyptian food is amazing! The service and the organization of the space itself could be way better. As for the atmosphere, expect a noisy place, but the food pays off!

The service, quality of the food, and atmosphere were perfect. But there are long waiting lines at night time, so it would be better to visit between lunch and dinner. On the other hand, if you are interested in enjoying the local atmosphere more, should visit night time.

We stumbled upon Sobhy Kaber during a late-night search for food while visiting Egypt last month. After a failed attempt at another restaurant, our Uber driver suggested Sobhy Kaber, and we're so glad he did! We ordered a variety of dishes including vegetable and meat tajin, grilled meat sheets, ribs from the barbecue corner, and bread. The flavors were absolutely incredible, with the meat practically melting in our mouths. Despite the language barrier with the waitstaff, one of the managers went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. The experience was not just about the delicious food but also about the exceptional hospitality. If you're in the area and craving fresh, mouthwatering cuisine, Sobhy Kaber is a must-visit!

It was possibly the best meal I had during my time in Egypt. All the flavors that burst on your tongue. Really enjoyed the food.

My favorite place to eat in Cairo!! Delicious food with reasonable prices (maybe a bit expensive for locals, but for western tourists is affordable). I ate here uncountable amount of time, and all kind of dishes. I recommend kofte , goat and molokhia, but whatever you try, you won’t regret.

The place is very crowded and there is a lot of noise. If you are looking for a romantic spot with intimate - it is not a place for you.

If you are a foreigner and want to try Egyptian cuisine, this is the best spot. Its usually crowded, so do expect to wait for a seat.

This is a must visit restaurant in Egypt. Their service is awesome and foods are yummy. Atmosphere is so superb and you have to add this to your must visit restaurant and places in Cairo. Overall price is also very reasonable and one should try their mango juice which is so delicious.

Magical place, crazy how many people can be served at once at this place. During a Cairo visit must eat there at least once.

Incredible food, amazing atmosphere. As good as it gets for Egyptian food. We ordered almost 30 pounds of meat and plenty of other food. The total was about 300USD for 13 people. 10 pounds was enough. Great for large parties. Would highly recommend the kufta covered in beef fat.

My Egyptian friends brought me here, a very spacious and comfortable authentic Arab-egyptian restaurant. With many delicious dishes like lamb/beef BBQ, kaber soup, crispy pigeon, samosa…etc and good and service. This place is quite famous among Egyptians and expats and most of the time this place is quite busy, very energetic! Highly recommended.
