Hiking, camping, stargazing and all chillin vibes ! Disconnect from everything and just enjoy the Mother Earth.
No phone signal so you’re literally disconnected !
It’s a safe place with a gate
And toilets, they were nasty but at least it is available.
The weather is great at night a bit chilly 🥶 , and the view is wonderful at sunrise.
Ps. Get some carrots for the bunnies 🐰 🥕

If you want to relax, hike, take long ride with bike between the mountain.
If you want stretch yourself and go back at the time and have night sleeping under the stars and tent ⛺ it will be your best choice don't forget your wood for the camp fire and marshmallow for the sweet night
You can bring all the staff you need and have a barbecue party 🍔🌭🍟
And please please please if you're going in summer take care from the snakes

The reserve is wonderful, with its original character. But rubbish needs to be cleaned up, lots and lots of plastic bags affect this beautiful and spectacular environment。

You can get a bit tired from hiking but it is worth it. The view was wonerful. It is an excellent place for a camp also. I highly recommend it.

A quite and peaceful place. Fun to camp & chill. Recommended to have good times barbequing with friends. You can clearly see the stars at night *stunning view*.

The Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency declared the 60 square km of the Wadi Degla region in the Cairo Governorate as a protectorate in 1999. This 10 km away desert region is easily accessible from Cairo. The protectorate is also one of the most significant valleys that rises in the eastern desert's mountains and runs from east to west. In a few spots, you can see where the floodwater eroded the rocks into amazing shapes as the Wadi winds over limestone hills before cutting into a deep, winding canyon. Numerous fossils can be found in these rock formations, as well as sporadic areas of petrified wood.

Such a beautiful place of serenity. It's amazing that there is a place this beautiful right within the noise and chaos of Cairo. It's an excellent place for biking, hiking or camping and very affordable to go in as well. Perfect for a sporty weekend.

An amazing protected area on the outskirts of Maadi, Wadi Degla is a 16km long canyon offering fantastic and tranquil scenery very close to the Cairo metropolis. Wildlife include deer, Fox, rabbit etc, and entry fee is obscenely cheap (EGP10 for car and driver). I would happily pay 10x that amount just to get away from it all. Areas for picnics, view points and popular with hikers, walkers and mountain bikers of all standards - but never busy! Pets are welcome - but clean up after them - the basic rule is that whatever you take into the park, you take it away again!

I had my birthday at One Safari tent with Mrs. Yara, It was my best birthday ever.. they put some fire and they had very beautiful music and the prices compared to food and service was very very cheap.. very lovely staff and an amazing experience I never thought I could have it in Cairo ❤

It's always good to go to the protectorate and bbq ❤
Word of advice, if you go with people that you don't really like, don't go, you're gonna be stuck with them in the desert till god knows when
But i totally recommend it especially for gatherings, birthdays or just a good hiking and connecting with the nature experience.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDING IS A GREAT ADVENTURE

Great location for walks during the cool times of the year in Cairo. Rocky formations and arid location make for very interesting topography

This is a very beautiful desert area and I definitely recommend visiting if you are in Cairo for more than a couple days.

Not gonna talk much about it but all I could say is that it's an awesome place for MTB (Mountain Biking) in Cairo & Egypt.

Beautiful place to camp, relax and get away from the crowded city.
Pet friendly, although you can find stray dogs there but they are generally friendly.
You can enter with your car, and pay a little fee for it.
Great place for barbecue and campfire!
It’s best to be visited in March, April or October, November.

Because of the fresh air and pure nature , it’s a good place for meditation 🧘‍♀ , camping 🏕 and natural lovers 🌱
