We stayed in the tower suite, such a cool place with a big living room and a big round bed inside the tower itself. Had coffee and desserts on the back terrace in the evening before taking a stroll around the lake before sunset, and a lovely huge breakfast in the morning before doing the museum tour. The place is absolutely fantastic and the staff very warm, friendly and service minded. I recommended everyone to stay here at least once!

It was very pretty!! Extremely big and cozy and you could see how people in the 1800 lived!!

Very pretty little castle with great surroundings. There's a view over the lake with a stair leading down straight to the lake. In castle there is a big museum. You can visit a lot of rooms and see the old interior. There is one room with wax sculptures of the old castle workers. There is also a restaurant and some suites if you wish to stay for a night.

Beautiful castle from the outside. It's a pity, I didn't get inside, because of the holidays. If there is time, a wonderful trail around the lake.

Really majestic and smart too. First this is beautiful everywhere: gardens, building, interior, even the parking with storks.
First floor is a historical review of rooms on how people lived in this middle-of-nowhere castle. The basement is dedicated to handcraft and history boards that explain all about the castle. The pottery room is lead by Tanel Tell who teaches to kids how to make a bowl. Nice guy and ready to make visitors happy.
1st floor is dedicated to art (paintings and music) , the museum of Estonian composer Eduard Tubin, and digital used in the castle.
It is impressive for its diversity and the manner it is displayed.
Entrance fee us a bit expensive, compared to other places, but it is worth it

I also enjoyed the restaurant inside the castle. Menu is varied and limited in number of meals which is sign of freshness. Kids for menu available.
The food is amazing...Genuinely Estonia

For kids, the castle might be a bit boring on the inside. For adults a lot to read and it's cool. The park is rather big and would recommend it.

Fantastic castle with really nice sorroundings: small park around and lake with small bridges. Good restoraunt and sweets. Nice workshops in the cellars. Concerts and theater events through the year.

A majestic looking castle 🏰 on verdant premises. The restaurant located within the castle is a must try. Oozing old world charm and class, even the food served matches its look and decor. Served tastefully, the food is fantastic. I had the delectable potato, bacon soup while my companion had the equally good onion soup. Perch on a gooey bed of onion, parsnip was exquisite. Pork ribs with herbed potato purée was fantastic. Tagliatelle had rucola in it which gave it a lively, pungent flavour. It's worth the hour and a half trip to simply fine art this place.

Very nice castle with good service and tasty food. Interesting entertainment could be found there, like concerts and spectacles. Not too pricey.

Beautiful castle & its garden, the museum is small but well laid out. We went in late October, it was off season, the restaurant was closed but everything was in beautiful autumn colours.

.....Alatskivi Castle worth seeing @least once, beautiful building & extensive grounds, well maintained & restored....some parts of interior quite dark & spooky which adds to the authentic atmosphere & experience of the place....~EnJoY~ : )

One if the most beautiful castles in Estonia. Can't compare it to Neuschwanstein but in Estonian context it's quite beautiful.

Castle is beautiful just like described in a fairytale. It’s unique and you can’t find something like this nowhere else than from Alatskivi. Beauty doesn’t stop with the castle itself, park around the castle offers also some nice views if you know what and where to look.
