The chocolate here has been poorly manufactured, and is of low quality. It is priced at $5 / 110g, which is much more than it is worth. In a blind taste test, I expect that own-brand supermarket chocolate, priced at $0.5 / 100g would win.

Specifically, it has a soft, fudgey and grainy texture — typical hallmarks of chocolate which has been poorly treated during the manufacturing process, and thus has a cloying mouthfeel — akin to eating chocolate spread. Furthermore, it has much too much sugar to allow the cocoa to come through, so if you expect to appreciate artisanal chocolate only kilometres from where it was grown, you would be sorely disappointed.

Really expensive and not good quality. The bar of chocolate I bought was quite gritty to taste, hadn’t been tempered and the ingredients appeared not to have been mixed properly as there were squares that tasted of nothing but salt. If it had been under half the price I probably wouldn’t have minded as much but for $5 you expect something better.

Tut mir echt leid aber wir haben hier zwei stück Schokolade für 6 Dollar gekauft. 60% und auch höhere. Die Schokolade schmeckte wie die aus dem Adventskalender. Der Bruch der Schokolade war nicht wie hochwertige und die Schokolade an sich war auf der Zunge grob.
