Minjoy Park

This was a good excursion. Cable lifts, hiking, waterfalls, and a nice cantina for a snack at the end. Bring some hiking shoes and some water shoes. If you don't want to swim, you'll at least need to walk in the rocky water to get good pictures with the waterfalls.

Definitely worth the ticket of admission! Round trip ticket is $8, one way is $5.

It was a slow 15 minutes ride but thrilling. You are very high up, between 100 to 150 meters above ground in some sections. The only thing that keeps you in one piece is the half hook at the top of your chair lift and the metal cable. If the cable snaps or the hook slips, ... I don't want to think about it.

Once reach the top, I hiked around up there for a few hours.

It was a 30 minutes walk from town to Minjoy Park on dirt road, and along the river in some sections. Saw people bathing in the driver. One lady got pinned at a rock by the river rapid.

The people of Mindo are very nice. A kind stranger gave me a ride back to town without me asking when he saw me trying to avoid the dust cloud from a car passing by.

We had a fantastic time at Minjoy! We will be back for a third time I am certain. It’s a great place for kids and adults. The teleferico is fantastic. You can even go in the early morning hours for birding as long as you make a reservation. The bubbles are fun for kids, Best done on a cloudy day. And there is playground with zip line for the kids. They are opening a restaurant soon. Great trails too.

Gorgeous view, it really can't be beat. Go on a clear day to really take it in.

Very nice attractions, beautiful views of Mindo Valley and mountains surrounding, you can view eagles, toucans, hummingbird, tanagers and other birds.

We did the cable car. OMG, impressive views. Not for the fainted hearted.
Tip: be quiet during the ride and enjoy the view and the bird sounds. The RIDE is the interesting part, not the place you get at the end.

Saw the sign so we pulled in to have a look. The chairlift looked like it would have nice views and they have a great play area for the kids. Went back with some friends to ride the chairlift with the kids and it was really fun. It is $8 roundtrip for adults (can't remember child price) and takes about 20 minutes each way, so it goes fairly slow giving you time to enjoy the surroundings. Once at the top there is another nice overlook on the backside of the ridge. You could also walk just up the road to the tarabita at Santuario de Cascadas to ride that over to the trails and waterfalls, and then go back down on the chairlift. Be sure to hold onto your ticket! They also have giant blow up bubbles that you can get inside of on a little pond. We're going back to do that next week! They also have trails and a camping area available. The restrooms are very nice. They have just opened and are still doing some work around the place so there are still some piles of building materials, etc. It is a fun place to go.

Very hight above the trees, amazing experience. We saw 7 toucans chasing each other on the way down.

Amazing place

Tener una experiencia como está, vale la pena. Muy pocas veces se puede admirar la copa de los árboles. La vista es asombrosa, contrasta con el verde colorido del bosque y todo el rededor.

Estupenda atracción para ver las preciosas vistas del Bosque Nublado de Mindo. También se puede utilizar como medio de transporte para llegar a la Tarabita, punto de partida para realizar la Ruta de las Cascadas de Mindo.
El precio del teleférico es de 8$. Y por 5$ más, se paga el acceso a la Tarabita.

Un lugar que si o si se debe ir si vienen a Ecuador y más que obligado si van a Mindo . Es una experiencia muy muy recomendada .
