Hosteria Canoa

Our group of 16 people had a lovely stay at Hostería Canoa for four nights.

Good:
-Friendly employees with great service. They were very responsive via WhatsApp and always happy to help us with any requests – filling up water bottles, spraying for ants when needed, providing fresh towels, etc.
-Cabins: since it was low season they allowed us 8 cabins for the 16 of us. Since each cabin has two rooms, we each got our own room, which was a luxury. The cabins are very cute and we loved that they were so close to the pool.
-Pool: we loved the pool and spent a lot of time there – it has a nice mix of regular and lounge chairs.
-Price: great value!!
-Location: close enough to the main strip of Canoa to walk there in less than 10 minutes along the beach, but far enough away that it was very quiet at night
-Safe: we felt very safe on property and walking to/from town, though we stuck to walking during daylight
-Food: they were happy to prepare meals for us, and the food was good (lots of fresh seafood)
-Beach: every day they put up two little tents on the beach with some chairs. We enjoyed walking on the beach and swimming, though we had two people get minor jellyfish stings while swimming. Every night we enjoyed watching the sun set around 6:30pm.

Neutral:
-We knew going in that there was no air conditioning, so some people didn’t sleep very well, but there were fans in each cabin that helped.
-A couple cabins had ant problems, but the staff were happy to help, and our cabin seemed to have a bird (or other animal) in it that pooped on our beds twice.
-Wifi worked fairly well for the most part, but don’t plan to stream video, and it doesn’t reach inside most of the cabins.

The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to take care of us, including providing aide when we were stung by jellyfish and by calling various taxis and buses for us throughout our stay. The hotel feels very safe and is a perfect distance from town- easily walkable in less than 5 minutes, but away from the noise and lights. The pool and grounds are kept in perfect condition and the rooms are cleaned every day. Laundry is available and the provided breakfast is great. The friendly cat who lives in the lobby is named Gladys and we will miss her!

This is an absolutely beautiful resort on the edge of town. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. We stayed in cottage 7, it had a fridge, tv and ceiling fans and a little porch. The cottage was very clean and fresh towels were provided daily. The pool was well maintained. The back of the resort led out to the Pacific. We loved it! The staff made our visit very memorable. Amazing staff, loved the ambiance. Beach front property. You can totally relax and enjoy the ocean or the pool.

Nice place and excellent attention

Muy hermoso lugar para disfrutar de las vacaciones , una atención 10/10 , todo muy limpio, desayunos execelentes. Esperamos volver pronto.

Hotel con arquitectura nativa, guadua y madera, muy colorido, adentro tiene viviendas independientes como si fuera un típico pueblito de sierra andina, cuenta con piscina , salida a la playa de manera independiente, amplios parqueaderos , buen restaurante, magnífica vista súper recomendado. Incluye desayuno. No dude en llamar el teléfono lo agrego en la fotografía.

Instalaciones confortables, la cabaña ofrece todo para una familia. Piscina en instalaciones y una gran atención. Si pudiera poner un comentario seria que debería haber más variedad en el desayuno, pero de ahí todo muy bueno. Recomendado.

Una excelente hostería con la mejor atención de Manabí! Además de tener instalaciones confortables, tiene una piscina mediada con jacuzzi para relajarse y nadar un poco. Es un espacio construido para satisfacer todas las necesidades de los huéspedes y brindarles una excelente experiencia. Y recalco, la atención es excelente. 100% recomendado

Me encantó! Tiene todo para pasar tranquilo y disfrutar, es seguro, no tienen cocina propia para el almuerzo pero tienen alianzas con restaurantes buenos de la zona!
