La Semilla Café

This was the best coffee I had in Ecuador, highly recommended place in Mindo to grab an excellent high quality coffee (not burned!), for comparison, this quality of coffee I can find only in Portland. Variety of desserts, very good chocolate.

Amazing coffee and cakes, good service in a really nice location! And soooo much really great organic MashPi chocolate!!

Also being from Portland I have to agree that this is some seriously good coffee. Tried the other places in town and they don’t hold up. This is a family run business from finca to cup and they know what they are doing! Coffee and chocolate are also more fairly priced than some of the other places so it’s a big win all around.

Great coffee (they only place doing a flat white I’ve seen in Ecuador), good hot chocolate and good waffles! Protip: get the sweet rather than the savoury — it’s loads better!

Plus the owner is very nice.

The best coffee I’ve had in all 3 weeks in Ecuador - and, as another reviewer said, the only place that I’ve seen a flat white on the menu. Plus the little shop is fantastic and the woman who owns the place is incredibly friendly, talkative and understanding about how little Spanish we speak.

We came across this gem while looking for dessert after dinner. Really delicious waffles and hands down best hot chocolate we've ever had. Going back again for breakfast!

Ambiente perfecto para pasar tiempo con amigos o familia, el café es excelente, el chocolate también es delicioso, Mashpi chocolate!! También ofrece una pequeña tienda de productos orgánicos desde alimentos y otras bebidas hasta cremas y productos de limpieza ecológicos que también recomiendo.
Un ambiente muy bonito, tranquilo, natural y familiar.

El lugar perfecto para pasarte con tus amigos a tomar un café , que por cierto es muy bueno .

I've heard great things about this place, but I went by at 10am on a Monday and they were closed. So their hours online are incorrect. I'm not sure when they're actually open.
