It is the nicest beach in EC that we have visited (and we have visited many many beaches here in the past 10 years) It is part of a national park so it’s sparkling clean and safe and there are no vendors. You can rent umbrellas, snorkelling gear etc before you enter and there are changing rooms, showers and bathrooms. It does close at 4 pm which is unusual for EC.

Simply put: the best beach in Ecuador. Clean and beautiful. You can also walk to different beaches and admire a breathtaking view from the Mirador. You can do some basic snorkeling on the right side near the cliffs. But you cannot eat there... so better have a good breakfast before, like a Bolon. That will do it.

Beautiful piece of protected beach area. You will pay $2 per car to get in, and to pee or wash your feet you will pay again. I’m just happy that it’s protected. Make sure to check online their hours of business as they are closed often. Bring food and water as there is nothing to buy on the site, you will need to eat this in the parking lot, not on the beach. You can also rent beginner snorkel gear 🤗

Nice beach in a protected area, which means you're not allowed to bring food or pets. It's a 10 minutes taxi ride from Puerto López. If it's sunny it really makes sense to rent a parasol because there's no shady spot to find.

Snorkels available! July to November is time for snakes reproduction, so keep walking on the main road is the recommendation. Do not take small trails. Lots of sunshine, careful with sun burns !

Out the southwest point from the beach.
Watching the waves come ashore and break on the rocks. I tried to load a 2 minute video. The girl, feeling the power of the waves, sitting right at the edge of the breakers was simply bonus.

The walk to this point is about 1-1.5 km. Bring water socks or sturdy sandals. The lava beds are rough. The wet rocks slippery.

The wave & tidal pools along the route, have various fish, snails & sea slugs of various colours, sizes and types. Incredibly cool.

The tiny beach crabs, made balls of sand, in nifty patterns, like I've never seen before. Until I watched them being made, I'd never have guessed.

There's black, bigger, rock crabs closer to the point, that skitter in groups. Comical in their avoiding me, waves, and each other. I'll try to add that video too.

Around the point. Is a secluded beach that I didn't get to. It looks like an idea place to bring my wife, next time.

Half way to the point. For those who prefer quieter corners on the earth. There's a Breccia out cropping. A perfect place to sunbathe for those who do that. Or. In the morning hours; a perfect sand beach with shade for those who prefer that.

We watched, awhile, a couple young women - probably models, and a couple photographers - probably professionals, doing a photo shoot. On the Rocky lava tongues, close to the Breccia.

The breakers across the Bay, made even more stunning waste spout videos. But I needed a better camera & tripod, to catch them well. I only had my cell phone.

Super relaxed beach. The sand is more white than usual. You can not go with pets or surf boards, but you can camp there

You shouldn't miss this beach out if you're un ten surroundings. It is very well preserved. You have even the chance to make a hiking actovity out of it by walking from the park entrance. Worth the walk or drive or tuk tuk ride or however you want to arrive there 🙂

Top beach! Go there early in order to avoid the crowd. Making the way to the viewpoint is also worth it.

Beautiful clean beach, not for surfing, but to just to enjoy the sun or to go look at the local crab colony(crabs are on the far right on the rocks)

The best beach in Ecuador and the best beach I've ever been to. It's so clean and beautiful, and on the weekdays you can have the beach mainly to yourself.
