Refugio del Colibrí

We got to Refugio a little by accident, but fell in love with the place and spent more time than planned. Lili is a fantastic, welcoming host, breakfasts are amazingly tasty. The place is 10-15 mins from the town, a very nice walk with a view over the river. Refugio itself has a superb end-of-the world feel with an orchestra of frogs putting you to sleep. Highly recomnended.

Wir haben insgesamt drei Nächte im Refugio del Colibrí verbracht. Es ist eine super idyllische Unterkunft mitten im Regenwald.

Das gesamte Haus sowie die Ausstattung sind sehr schön und mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet!

Besonders schön sind die Tiere des Regenwaldes, welche direkt vom Balkon aus beobachtet werden können.

Ein Ort um sich selbst etwas zu „disconnecten“ und die Natur zu genießen - Wir würden jedem einen Besuch sehr empfehlen!

Excelente lugar para descansar alejado del ruido de la ciudad y perfecto para desconectar después de un día de playa. Ideal para ver aves y escuchar sus cantos, un refugio de verdad.

Maravilloso para conectar con la naturaleza. Los sonidos del bosque y las ideas de arquitectura son increíbles.

Se volvió mi segundo hogar 🫀🌿🏞

Un paraiso lleno de encantos

Excellent location in the forest. It is a good getaway place to discinnect from technogy and reconnect with nature. I highly recommend going into the Ayampe River, just sit in the warm water and let the river wash away any stresses and negative energy. If you stay in the Tower above, it's a 3min walk up the hill. There is a terrace to look out over the forest. There is no electricity in the Tower, candles and battery lantern provided. Separate shared bathroom w shower. Some trails to walk around the property. Lots of birds. No wifi onsite, but good cell phone signal. About a 7min drive on dirt road to get to the town of Ayampe and the beach. Good value for the money charged.
