Well worth the visit. Be sure to wear walking shoes and be aware the the ground in the cave complex is slippery. Our guide (Joel) was very knowledgeable and approachable

Not much to the actual cave itself but the surrounding mangrove forests and the unadulterated nature assaulting you from everywhere is simply awesome. They let you off in a couple of places and if you're lucky you can split from the group and do some exploring of your own feeling like Indy 😀. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Dominican republic.

Really interesting. Seeking the petroglyphs and learning the beliefs in 6-fingered people being witches and other cultural beliefs. Quite fascinating. Very beautiful environment as well.

Not only the cave but mainly the coast and islands as well as mangroves, the national park Los Haitises is an amazing place to discover. I recommend to rent a kayak and do it on your own.

"Cueva La Linea" The rock art of Los Haitises National Park is of a surprising richness and variety. It is evident that its architects were peoples who dominated the sea and navigation techniques. The bay of San Lorenzo allowed them to move in a place of calm waters, to shelter from the waves of the open sea. Also the extensive mangroves provided them with food in large quantities and the caves of refuge against the elements and ritual spaces where they celebrated their ancestral ceremonies. The protected area status of the entire area has allowed the survival of a pre-Hispanic cultural landscape of unparalleled beauty and historical and archaeological interest. #CuevaLaLinea #LosHaitises #DominicanRepublic #HasItAll 🇩🇴❤🌳🍃🗿🌞

Amazing cave where the Tainos once retreated during hurricanes and major rain events. Writings and pictographs on the walls. Stalagmites and stalagtites all over the place. It's wet in there and the floor is not flat, so be careful. While I was in there, at least two people fell; they were so busy looking up that they forgot to pay attention to the wet, slippery and uneven ground. Other than that, it's a fantastic experience.
