These ladies were amazing in so many ways! Leonor and Tiffani helped me look at some items; Crown of Light loose diamonds, earrings and some rings. They were extremely knowledgeable, nice, and fun to chat with about gems and jewelry. The store was clean and open with several options to choose from. I spent an hour or two talking and looking.

I unfortunately missed the cruise ship in Puerto Plata because I thought the ship left at 4 not 3pm. The Port Authority was no help, neither was the contact I had on the boat. These ladies were so disheartened when they heard this they had to take action. Luna was the first to approach me in order to help. They helped me get back to the ship, this was no easy task. Tiffani looked up my itinerary to see where I should meet up with the ship and then flights to get there. She was wise enough to have me skip the next port due to logistical issues and to catch up with the ship in Curacao. It was much better to spend 2 nights in Curacao than to spend 20 hours traveling to try and catch up with the ship in the next port. Leonor and Luna looked for rides to the airport and helped search for flights. Hilary also helped out by calling local pharmacies for my epilepsy medication and was able to find it rather quickly. Luna and Hilary helped me out as I did not have any local currency for the pharmacy needing the generic medication, toothbrush and paste. They all made sure I felt taken care of and safe. Ariel called his cousin, Johnathan, to be my ride to Santo Domingo, 3-4 hours away so that I could catch the flight in the morning. Luna, Hilary, and Leonor accompanied me to the international bank so that I could have enough local cash to pay for food, hotel and other items that came up. The ladies found a hotel in Santo Domingo and Curacao for me. Johnathan stayed overnight to make sure I got to the airport safe in Santo Domingo. Leonor also found reputable taxi companies in Curacao to pick me up from the airport. Luna created a group chat in WhatsApp to be able to keep in contact with me until I arrived back on the ship. She and the other ladies also checked in on me via private chats often. Without the amazing effort of these ladies, I could still be on Puerto Plata asking for el bano. They did everything but build me a boat to get me back to the ship in the smartest way possible. I was amazed by their kindness and care. This obviously was not their job in any sense, but they performed a million times better than the port authority and cruise line as they did not help at all. I am very lucky to have met these people! please give them a hug or a high five for me and make sure to buy some Crown of Light diamonds from them as a thank you! You won't be disappointed in the diamonds either!
