Lygten Bazar

We had a fantastic visit to Lygten Bazar in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. This store pleasantly surprised us by offering a wide variety of groceries, particularly Asian and Middle Eastern items. What stood out was the availability of fresh meat, fish, and vegetables. The staff members were friendly and provided great service. Overall, it was a great shopping experience.

A LOT of improvements since last time I reviewed. To the point where this is now my go to shop wether it’s daytime or if I’m craving snacks. I can definitely say that the bad reviews previously are no longer valid as this place has transformed completely.

Great selection of fruits and vegetables but they also have Asian, Indian and middle Eastern groceries. If you're trying to find something specific from those areas try here.

A paradise for food lovers, in particular of Middle-Eastern and Asian cuisine.

It is a great place to find certain types of products that you won't find anywhere else, like plantains and Thai basil (just 2 examples).

Also, it is a good place to buy big bottles of sauces like oyster sauce, fish sauce and soy sauce.

A great place to shop for veggies and fruits. Selection is very large and prices good. Be careful when choosing the fruits and veggies as sometimes they are too ready (especially on heavy discounts).
Inside there is huge selection of grains, breads, sauces etc. Definitely worth a visit.

You can find all middle eastern products and reasonable prices

This is probably one of the only stores where I've always found what I needed. Good collection of Asian spices and sauces, Indian and Arabic food brands and products and fresh vegetables. They also have a huge frozen food and dairy collection, seafood selection and fresh meat and poultry.

The best price-quality ratio in Copenhagen that I have seen so far for food groceries, fruits and fresh fish/meat. Very nice selection of goods as well

Very good variety of fruit and vegetables at a modest price.
Regular supermarkets have perhaps the "perfect" fruit and veg, but limited choice, very expensive and full of plastic wrappings. With a minimal skill at selecting food, this is where you should go. Other similar bazars might be just as good, but this one is the largest and most varied I know.

Also decently priced variety of fish (but you should learn to clean it yourself, they usually only remove the guts, not scales or gills).
This is another point of disappointment for me with normal supermarkets, they always have the same handful of fishes (cod, salmon, plaice, herring, mackerel), some of them rarely found fresh, and so expensive... very bad for a country with so much sea. In sum, buy your fish here too.

Always a large selection of fresh fruits, vegetables and greens. There is a large selection of spices and various cereals. There are sweets, meat, cheeses and fish. Large selection of sauces.

Have great produce from all around Asia that you cannot get anywhere else, for such a low price anyways. All of them are original. The prices are very convenient and the fresh veggies and fruits are of very good quality. They also bake their own flatbread.

Extremely good prices on wares. And their high quality products often beats almost any supermarket products on most points. Fx, most of their wares are devoid of e-numbers, and their fruits are often ripe in contradiction to most supermarkets. 9/10

Good Asian Shop with almost all kind of groceries and fresh vegetables with cheaper price. Quality of all the products are good. Connectivity to this place is very good. The store remains open almost all the times.

A Large middle eastern super market where you can buy fresh and just backed Persian and Arabic breads.

Amazing place for fresh herbs, fruit & veggies as well as Arabic & Asian goods! 10 times fresher than the supermarkets and much better value. #Støtlokalt

Great place, a lot of hidden gems in terms of food, drinks, spices and any other things you might think off. Prices are great, only downside is that is always crowded and there is a huge queue you need to wait in.

Great place to find great food. Just be careful to pay at the young cashier, he always "MISTAKES" prices in his favour. Better to pay to the old man, he is very nice and honest.

Such a varied selection of goods, go-to place for all manner of foodstuffs.
