Wow... This is a hidden gem in Copenhagen. I went here on a Thursday afternoon without any expectations and I'm simply in love with the place. I got a beer and vegetarian buffet for 99 kroner! I talked to one of the waitresses and she explained to me that it was a social economic business hiring social vulnerable people. This is a must visit if you come to Copenhagen! The food tasted brillant and the atmosphere is filled with love. I highly recommend visiting this place.

A wonderful little café. The service is great, the food is great. Their chia overnight oats is a delight. Probably better value than other similar cafes.

Back in Hamburg from our holiday in Copenhagen I still dream of the cinnamon roll I had at Café Sonja... constantly failing in trying to bake at least similar ones. The rest of our breakfast was also very good. :-)

Cool nostalgic place that bring you back to the 70’ies. Kind service and surprisingly good food for the prize.

Café Sonja is a little gem of a café in Vesterbro, just off Istedgade. Food is delicious and very budget friendly - a meal will set you back around 100DKK for a main course and a beer. They occasionally have live music - about once a month there's a blues/folk band playing. Oh, and it's run by volunteers and is non-profit, adding to the feel good vibe, which there is so much of. Kids friendly as well.

A very cozy, family friendly little restaurant in our just as cozy, family friendly neighborhood, Vesterbro. Driven according to social economic principles, the ambience of the place is one of inclusiveness, openness, - love:-)
