We went there for a special Christmas arrangement with a steam powered train, which made the museum more accessible to us. It is a very interesting place for those who like trains and trams, they have some gorgeous models on exhibit and you can also ride some of the trams on-site. A pity they were removed from Copenhagen but I'm happy they preserved some in this museum. The bus exhibit was very worth exploring too. I wish there had been more options for food and drinks but other than that, I would definitely recommend visiting.

Amazing to dive back in time when Copenhagen took the last streetcar driving 1972, beautiful experience to drive on sn old tram along the tracks and have some ice-cream or coffee at the Endstation.
Or take a walk back , through the woods and visit the big hangar with old busses as well.
Well kept and maintain, and friendly vibes with conductors and driver in old uniforms

Possibly the best museum in Denmark. Not only do you get to learn the history of trams in Denmark, but also get to ride on them. Museum is run by a lot of passionate people. You can also find trams from other countries, as well as historic bus rides. Parking is further away from the museum and you take a shuttle tram from the ticket booth to the main area. Absolutely wobderful for children and adults alike.

Surprisingly great! Loads of old trams from the original horse powered ones to modern electrical ones. Almost all of them can be entered for a quick look. Many models are still in use, you can get rides on them to the forest Cafe and back.

They also have a collection of old buses and other history.

This place ia definitely worth the trip. It's like model trains on steroids: an entire working tram system! The people there are really nice and eager to talk about trams! Can recommend!

Remarkable tram museum run by volunteers and veterans who are very helpful and eager to share stories from the good old times when three large Danish cities Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Odense. Well, there are more attractions besides operational and stationary trams, and if you have small kids it will most likely be an unforgettable experience for them

A truly amazing place. Multiple tramways and buses in circulation, the level of preservation and care they have for the vehicles is beyond perfection. Its amazing. It feels like a trip to a complete different place and time.

A nice place to see how the public transportation has evolved from horse drawn busses to modern times. And for the more "adventure" seeking folks, you can get to ride some of the attractions around the area.
You can bring your own launch or buy it there.

Even if you a not an tram or bus enthusiast, this museum is worth a visit. It brings you back into the times of the 19th and 20th century, not only with realistic public transport but also all details like shops, kiosks. You can make a ride on the tram to the picnic area and enjoy you own food or buy somthing from the kiosk located in a tram. There are also special events with oldtimer cars visiting the museum, big-band music and more. Please check the web-site for details.
