Lovely setup and ambience. The food Menu gave a very nice experience however some of dishes could have been a little hotter in temperature. But overall presentation, well-balanced flavours and portion fitted well. We thoroughly enjoyed the first dish of artichoke soup with bread and dips. The waiting staff were super friendly, informative and accommadating.
Highly recommend the Tasting Menu for a rounded culinary experience.

Must visit spot when in Copenhagen. I am from Latvia so the herring, chanterelles and dill in the foods made me feel like home. Everything was so tasty and beautifully presented and the dill schnapps - absolutely loved it. Would come again and will recommend to anyone going to Copenhagen.

I walked in middle of day and was offered a bar table but book a table if you are a larger party.

What a fantastic restaurant. Deceptively simple dishes that have been utterly refined. Every dish we had was amazing, cooked to perfection, with wonderful combinations of tastes and textures, and every ingredient contributing a taste sensation. Booking highly recommended.

Wow, really enjoyed this place. Everything we tried was really well made with simple, fresh and clean flavours. The decor is great and it’s a wonderful ambience with knowledgeable staff. This was our favourite meal we had in Copenhagen.

A must visit in copenhagen. A lot of the ingredients are in-house, such as home milled flour, and marinating their own herring.

I came for lunch. The service was attentive yet relaxed. Don't expect an express lunch-- come here for a slow meal and to enjoy some time in a beautiful location with excellent food.

You can order a la carte or follow a lunch menu which is good value.

There is also a schnapps and beer menu for 210 kr for a large beer and 2 schnapps. If you haven't had schnapps then be aware it is quite alcohol forwards!

There are a small number of vegetarian choices but they are all excellent. I would love to see some more designated vegetarian food here.

Delicious food, and reasonably priced for the quality. Great drinks selection too. We had the 3 course dinner menu - we ordered a cold salmon smorrebrod, a warm plaice smorrebrod and desert. Couldn’t fault any of it. Great restaurant

A delicious dinner menu perfect for anyone interested in local Danish food. Very accommodating with all the changes requested for pescatarians, but probably a vegan would have it more difficult.

Any trip to Denmark wouldn’t be complete without trying some smørrebrød, an open filled sandwich.

We opted for a few from the meat/fish session, including the plaice, smoked salmon, lobster and the chicken salad.

Useful tip, order one each to begin with, the if still craving more, order another batch. We had 4 and it was more than enough.

Just before travelling back to France, I had lunch in this Nice restaurant. I was Lucky to have spacieux as you need to reserve before... Lucky bécasse it was very good proposals, fresh, tasty... Di not hesitate to go ...

5 stars. I live in Paris and this has been one of the best eating experiences I have had in a long time.
The staff is super great, speaks english, knows how to adapt the experience to you.
The ambiance is chic, welcoming but not pretentious.
And the food... the food is a revelation! Hehe no joke, it was incredible. Come and eat 2 smorrebrød.
It is not cheap but it is definetely worth it.
This place makes me want to move to Copenhagen and come here every weekend

Our friends recommended this restaurant for a small lunch. We came in after visiting Arhoj Studio which is right around the corner. We ordered 2 the Smørrebrød with Beef Tartare. Great option to choose, it was very good! We spent for 2 of these dishes and water the total of 350DKK. Great place to stop by to get quick lunch ;))

We landed and arrived a few hours later at a pre planned Boxing Day lunch at Aamanns 1921. We had previous communication with the restaurant and our reservation was flawless. The setting is bright and open with modern design. Tables are spaced apart and noise level was moderate, all creating a conducive environment for dining. Service was a little slow to start (no one came to our table) but once we called our server over, if flowed perfectly. Perhaps in Denmark one needs to call the server, I am not sure. After the initial delay of about 20 minutes, service was flawless. The menu is expansive with amazing offerings. We wanted to sample Smörrebrod and chose 3; hand peeled shrimp, Icelandic salmon and mushroom salad. We also tried house made Schaaps and my daughter had a local IPA. Our server helped me choose a Schaaps and helped me learn a little about how to enjoy. We also wanted to try Risalamande, a Danish cherry rice Christmas pudding. It was ambrosial. Everything was beyond our expectations.

Wonderful traditional Danish restaurant. The interior is so lovely and inviting. The food, service and ambiance were fantastic. 6 of us shared the smoked salmon, herring platter, lobster salad, tomatoes, mushroom, chicken salad, tartare and fried plaice. Everything was delicious, fresh and visually stunning. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly.

Exceptional smørrebrød (Danish open sandwich) experience. I couldn’t believe the flavours were possible in a sandwich. Lovely wait staff. Expensive of course like everything in Denmark but was really pleased we went. Suggest you only need 2 smørrebrød each (3 was too much).

I brought my friends here to introduce them to Danish cuisine and we had a wonderful experience. Despite coming in with no particular expectations, we were all pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, which was delicately prepared and bursting with flavors. The service was prompt and attentive, making our meal even more enjoyable. And, to top it off, the prices were reasonable. It's clear that this restaurant has earned its reputation as a must-visit spot for anyone looking to try authentic Danish cuisine in Copenhagen.

If you are keen to have Smørrebrød this is the place! We also had herring tasting in different ways and was incredible! Super recommended for an especial moment.

One of the best places I've been to. I'll start by saying I am not a fan of rugbrød. However, the variety, attention to detail, finesse and mix of flavours makes the smørrebrød something not to be missed. As it's a Michelin restaurant, the price isn't cheap but it's not too expensive either, apart from the large beer being 95 Krone. That said, I had the seasonal beer with spices and oranges, very refreshing and different. I will definitely be back to this restaurant. The beef tartar smørrebrød was the best one for me. Fantastic atmosphere and great service.

Lovely restaurant on the Michelin guide in 2022. Lunch is Smørrebrød focused and dinner is more modern food. Reservations can easily be made on their website. Best to make one as quite a few groups were turned away as they restaurant is fully booked.
